    I do. Our three new healing Abilities don't seem to work with our existing healing buffs (Divine Seal I'm looking at you!), Stone III is boring, Aero III can miss because twelve forbid the WHM get an auto-hit AOE, and Assize and Tetragrammaton are inappropriately named (Google them - It's like somebody Babelfish-Failed all over these names). All things considered these are about as exciting and groundbreaking as our Story quest. If that wasn't bad enough the things White Mage used to have that made in unique and drew me to the class (The theme of Protect and Shell and the strong Stone Skins and that feeling of timing them JUST right!) are no longer unique and/or available and I do not feel what we were given in return was equal. I don't so much as mind the Holy changes but if I'd known these changes to White Mage, or that their post lvl 50 was so lackluster and cobbled together, I'd have not leveled one and would have spent my time better learning Scholar instead.

    You even put it in bold. That's exactly why Divine Seal doesn't work with them since DS improves spell-based healing. The new abilities cost no mana, take no place in terms of GCD and are all instant. It's a pretty good trade. I fail to see how this strays from the identity of what a is a white mage.

    I've looked into Assize and Tetragammaton. For those that can't be bothered to do the search, assizes refers to the courts that were established in England and Wales at around the 12th century. It can also refer to judgement rendered by these courts or judges. Since the spell explodes outwards, healing allies and hurting enemies the naming seems fair to me. Tetragammaton in turn refers to the four-letter theonym of the national god of the Hebrew faith. Whether it should be sacrilegious, or rather, blasphemous to invoke the name of a god for a quick heal every now and then is another matter. Regardless of the outcome of that discussion, the naming of the spell doesn't seem to clash with the holy/ecclesiastical image that's been building around the white mage.

    Wait op said whm only offers heals and little to no buffs to party.
    Isn't that a whms job? To be the king/ queens of raw healing output? Isn't that their ace in the hole? Leave the buffing to sch or ast, whms r fine the way they are.

My old toys not playing nice with my new toys is silly and boring. I feel like I only play Heavensward off the global cool down of if I'm missing with my fancy new attack actions. You are, however, more than entitled to your opinion as I am mine and im glad the WHM is working for other people: it meas SE did a good job and its juse time for me to move on class-wise which is fine. I'll not argue the naming methodology as although I disagree I dont forsee the discussion being fruitful as I have a much different base image of the Eorzan White Mage.

    WHM is and always will be the main healing job of this game. The spells from 50 to 60 seem to fit in perfectly with fulfilling that role.

    but there still is one major flaw with the new WHM skills: they ignore warrior Defiance heal bonus, making warrior tanks harder to heal and giving them (and the WHM healing them) an unfair disadvantage

    Have you tried not using it on the tank but on the rest of the party? It's a good, instant AoE hot when you want to top off the DPS/yourself but don't have much time because the tank is getting punished too hard (or you just want to DPS).

    My FC mates have learned to stand in the bubble when possible and we all love the spell.


    I don't mind if super virus stays arcanist only, i don't mind loosing the improved protect as a perk, but give us our Graniteskin back! Stoneskin during a fight has become pretty much useless outside of tank busters in raids, and i hardly even bother to cast it on a tank before pulling a trash group to give me more time to spam holy, because it's gone so fast now.

    The only people who complain about Wars being harder to heal are cure 2 spammers.

    I can heal myself. I can survive 3 mins without the healer lifting a finger. I have my own healing abilities for a reason. (fact Wars healing abilities scale off str not mind) I can heal 4k (more with berserk) with equilibrium 2500 with inner beast if i crit even more.

    You need to let the war heal themselves and stop spamming the damn cure 2.

    WHM is the burst healer ofc they only have mostly healing abilities. SCH and Astro have support to make up for our lesser heals. If you gave WHM support type abilities of SCH and Astro what would be the point in bringing either of those two ? In fact what would be the point of bring another heal you could solo heal....
