Cannot Reach 60 fps in game.

Hello Guys,
i have recently purchased this game and i like it alot so far , but i have 1 complaint about it , i think the game is not optimized properly for some reason because i cannot reach 60 fps what so ever .
i am using the latest Nvidia drivers and running on optimal settings from Nvidia Geforce experiance but the max fps i have is 45 fps .

the weird thing is i get 40-45 fps if i run the game on medium or max settings 1920x1080p . shouldnt changing graphic affect the FPS ?!

You expect that laptop hardware can reach 60FPS all time? That's just a dream.

Running desktop 3930k @ 4.6ghz + GTX TITAN 1200Mhz, 40'c load temp. I'll tell you right away this rig is at least x10 faster than your laptop and some game area are 144+FPS but in city is always 40-60FPS.

This is Sea of Cloud area, not much around running at Max 1080p on my 144hz monitor.



Now you expect that your laptop can magically run 60FPS ignore the law of physic of electronic?

That is 10x more powerful than your laptop to achieve that FPS.

There is no solutions, his hardware is working as intended of what it is capable to push the game performances. One that understand how computers work. There is nothing wrong with his laptop. Not jollies, just fact and proof. Not some random guess and people say, that's bullshit. Keep telling himself that his laptop can max out the game at 60FPS in every area + hunts.\

If you really want to know the real answer, single thread IPC his CPU is the bottleneck, any graphic settings won't change the FPS. Simple as that. Having more 8 threads CPU doesn't mean the game will use all 8 threads. Game is still single core, not until DX12 fully supported. His CPU is pretty much limited how much information interchange between the GPU. It cannot feed anymore faster unless you overclock it... on laptop... good luck.\

There are people in the world believe they can download more rams or magic patch boost game FPS x2. Delusional, it's just optimization but hardware limit it's a bottleneck. Tell your Honda civic, add premium fuel. Your car will go faster.

Despite his specs, his frame rate should change when switching between Medium and Maximum settings. I would be interested to see if he has a graphics card or if it's integrated graphics. It could be something as simple as his monitor's refresh rate being 45.

I've got no idea how this particular 'gaming' laptop performs, but there should be some other owners out there.

My little ThinkPad X series runs the game just fine on DX9; not yet tried DX11... but at least the DX9 client is fairly playable for basic play.

That Notebook should easily give him permanent 60fps outside of crowded cities like on fields and dungeons. (if he activates that LOD feature)

However, for non maxwell cards i'd downgrade your display drivers to 347.88 the newer drivers are currently bad for kepler cards (less performance).

I've owned a similar spec'd laptop with GTX765M before and 45FPS on the open world is pretty much about right.

IDK, this game is honestly isn't a graphically intensive game but open world FPS seems to run a little low even with very good hardwares

I game at 1440p with a GTX 980Ti and even so, I only get above 60FPS 95%ish of the time. It drops to 45-55 range when in things like hunts.

Seeing as I have a GTX 780x2 SLI set up and I can easily run the game at 60 FPS+ on Maximum 1080p when disabling SLI, he shouldn't have an issue on Medium.

1440p with a single card is whats killing your framerate so much there. SLI is much better for higher resolution set ups but I imagine you run well over 180 FPS uncapped on 1080p.

I've only every played this game on the playstation, I don't really have money/room for a master computer. Honestly, as long as there isn't some seriously insane lag on the game in crucial areas then I don't sweat it.
