Peculiar problem with FFXIV

Since latest patch I have not been able to get into the game.

Here is what is happening:
Connect to data center, (see the wheel at the bottom right of page spinning)longer then usual time.
Then I get black screen with this message:
Lobby server connection has encountered an error. Click little box that say ok, it closes everything down.

Rebooted computer, nothing changes.
Rebooted modem, nothing happens.
Rebooted both at same time, nothing happens.

Day 2 and still cant log into the game!!


How many days until we see a fix??????????

Same on my end.
This is not effecting my friend, though(He's a PS4 User).
It can't be my internet connection, as he's using the PS4 in my household.

Alright! I fixed my problem!
I went through extensive lengths, but I found the solution to my problem was uninstalling the game and then reinstalling.
