Please if you must put bonus tomestones in raids and the like Please do not let there be a message that says a person is new.

Yes it is a nice thing to know if a person is new or not but The Binding Coils have shown that this message is an awful thing that makes it harder for people. Its used as a way by people to not let others join them.

I'm ashamed that for me who has mostly puged every turn in the binding coil I have done the same because I did want to get them out of the way to get progress on the current turn I was on.

Yes we all want experienced people to join our groups but we all started it barely understanding it yes you can watch a video guide that is ideal but that's all it is its a guid its not the same as getting teal experience in something.

And if you are in a group this won't interfere with you but for people who are pugging on party finder it can be a lot harder.

Like I said I did the same thing I only wanted experienced people for my farm and clear runs. But I don't want to be that kind of person any more and I'm sure there are others who want to do the same.

And it be a lot easier to take that step if we never see that said bonus message in raids and hard content ever again. So if you must add a bonus then fine but do not put the message please. Let it be a nice surprise at the end and maybe have the weekly capped bonus tomes bonus of be counted towards the cap.

Why would you want this? If someone is new and nobody in the group knows it, then everyone is going to expect everyone else to know the fight and then drama ensues when the party starts wiping and blaming each other because a newbie didn't speak up.

How would removing '..has yet to clear this content.' change the nature of the message. It will still mean someone there hadn't cleared the content yet. The message is pretty important as it prepares the group to be ready to help explain things that the new person might be able to anticipate what's to come. In truth, though, this isn't the case. I've been doing early Coil runs where all the message got was cheers for more tomes and then run as usual with not a single person stopping to ask who was new or if anyone needed any pointers then complaining rather profusely when the new people stop to watch cutscenes or fail to recognize battle mechanics. You know, the usual elitist antisocial behavior. I hope the message stays as it is, that way when the complaining starts I can point out that noone had any excuses to not know someone was new.

Doing something for the first time is not something anyone should feel ashamed of.

If you want to be jerk and boot people because of that then that is not the fault of the new player.

I would prefer if they made the reward worth the risk of taking a new person along. If they follow your lead and remove the message, that just means that the group makes it through the trash and runs the boss 1 maybe 2 times before realizing that someone is new and has no idea what they are doing. This leads to a kick and the whole process starts anew.

The problem with the bonus in ARR was that it was an additional 100 soldiery, where as if you were participating in the high end raids, you probably had more soldiery than you knew what to do with. I know I sat on 2000/2000 soldiery for months because I didn't have much to spend it on. At that point the reward of an additional 100 tomes of a lower tier tomestone is not in line with the risk of taking someone new into a fight. They could be good and you clear it easily and oh well I got an additional 100 tomestones I dont' need. They could be bad and then you're asking why you're banging your head against a wall over 100 lousy solidery tomestones.

So my suggestion would be to make the reward actually worth it in high end raiding. For example you could supply 1 additional chest if you have someone brand new in your group. Alternatively, with the new token system you could give a bonus token for helping someone get their first clear. This would at least give those who had cleared a decent incentive to take new people along for the ride.

Sorry but no. Then there will be a lot of complaining about how people join weekly clear groups and farm groups just for an easy clear.
I am going to blunt. Players who have cleared content have no obligations to help others clear said content.

Does the message single out players that are new or just lacking a clear? Yes, I agree. Honestly, I would probably just asking proof of clear whenever I make a pugged group for something and I am sure I wouldn't be the only one to do so.

I think you meant to say 'Party Finder' group. If you're using Duty finder with your inner circle of 3-4 friends and you decide not to use the 'reduced party' option, partied or not any and all room to complain about new players in your run is nul and void. As such, you should at least try to be helpful instead of chastising the new players for not 'properly preparing'. I say I've never watched videos alot when I'm the one popping the message, but half the time I have and, brutally honest, videos do nothing for me. I only learn a fight by, gasp, learning the fight. Alot of people are like this. And when I'm returning, I like to see if anyone else says their new, and will offer help when asked. Might want to try that yourself sometime.

It is just rude and disrespectful since you could be wasting their time if they are farther in the fight then you. All so you can go into the fight blind. Please use the PF for blind runs.

The problem with this bullet point is that you make the rather grandiose claim that you've never had to learn the fight yourself. That you were somehow a pro at it as soon as it was content. Bold-faced lie as that is. We all had to learn the content, took multiple tries at beating the content, had friends and strangers alike help with the content. As such, we are all obligated to help those who come after. After all, if it hadn't been for those who went before we'd never have cleared it ourselves.
