Why can't I craft a copper barbut?

I've looked everywhere for a help forum where new players could ask their noobish questions and couldn't find one so I will make a thread here and hopefully someone will answer it.
I'm a rank 9 armourer, naturally I've looked over the internet and found a crafting recipe for the copper barbut which I wanted to make being that I'm a GLA now I have all the required items 1 copper plate, 1 bronze plate, 1 copper rivets, and 1 sheep leather. So to my surprise i go to craft these items and it says these items cannot b synthesized! Y!?!?!? is there something i am missing? Something I don't need? Something I need more of? I don't get it plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have 4 earth shards and 3 wind shards?

Hmmm I didn't think to check that forgot that seeing I haven't crafted it b4 it won't tell me that I'm missing those thanks

Ok it's not that cause I have 250 of each any other ideas?

If it's saying "You cannot synthesize with those materials," then you either have the wrong materials, or you're not on the correct job that can craft it. Double-check and make sure that you have your Armorer hammer equipped, and that you entered in the correct materials (it shouldn't matter what order you put them in).

If it says "You decide to wait until you are more skilled to attempt this synthesis," then it means you're not high enough level to do it yet, but seeing how Copper Barbuts require only a Lv5 Armorer according to Yellow Gremlin, I highly doubt this is the case, since usually you can attempt a synthesis that's up to 10 levels higher than your current level, meaning you should technically be able to do it even if you were level 1.

But yeah, just make sure you're using the correct materials and that you're on Armorer when you do so. I've made the same mistake on occasion myself - I tried making Bronze Nuggets as a Goldsmith with 3 Copper Ore and 1 Tin Ore, and it gave me the "you cannot synthesize with those materials" message because only Blacksmith can make Bronze Nuggets. If that doesn't fix it, well... I dunno, lol.

As far as I know I am using the correct materials 1 copper plate, 1 bronze plate, 1 copper rivets, 1 sheepskin leather is what every site told me to use and I am armorer rank 9

What about facilities? Do you need a certain facility type to craft? Or do you have to of crafted all the ingredients yourself?

Facilities aren't necessary but not having good enough facilities may heavily penalize your crafting ability. It also doesn't matter who made the ingredients. I'm pretty sure you're trying to use the wrong ingredients. Make sure you have sheep leather, not sheepskin. Also make sure you have bronze and copper plates, not squares.

Only things I can think of are making sure you've got your armorer hammer equipped (It could be easy to confuse the blacksmith's hammer with it), that the leather is NOT dyed, and that your are using bronze and copper PLATES and not squares.
