You can almost get as many points getting 50 draws against a person than you can by getting 50 wins against NPCs.

From what I could tell though, there wasn't even any difference. Unless the difference comes from the variance because it seemed to me like the base value was the same. I just want to get Cecil, Cloud, Zidane, and Tidus then I'm out. After spending 700k on gold packs, I'm willing to throw out my personal scruples to achieve that. Even if we lived in a world where no one cheated and we all wanted to play fair matches with each other, there aren't a whole lot of people who even bother with Triple Triad anymore so some players would be hard pressed to find opponents. The NPCs were a good alternative for people who didn't have time/interest but still wanted the cards. Now not being able to play NPCs on top of the already flagrant cheating results in people like me, who decide to cheat for points, or people like many others in this forum, who just give up entirely.
I have not participated in the last 3 tournaments. I'm not intending to do so ever again until it starts being fair again.

Ok then. SO! Out of 50 matches... I won 49 them, all NPC, ended with 3337 in points!
I'm not even close to the top 20. In fact, there are 5 people with 1 win out of 50 who are higher with around 3700 points.
Well done evening the score there SE...
And the leading three, all win traders, have at least 6500, and are 1-2k higher than the 10th place finisher... who has 3 wins.
Exactly. They "buffed" NPC payout but I'm still below someone with ZERO wins out of 50. I went 48-0-2 vs the 2nd worst NPC. That's weak on my part but at least I won some games rather than INTENTIONALLY LOSING THEM. Pull your head out of your arses SE...Ok then. SO! Out of 50 matches... And it's not like they're encouraging you to play other players, even if you lose. I got 77 from winning against 3 diamonds, and only 40~something for losing against a player with a better deck. If you're not gaming the system, you're STILL getting screwed.
I don't know if someone has already stated this, but 50 games to participate in the tournament is too many. 20 would be fine, but 50 nope. Also as it is now when the tournament is broken and npc wins don't count as much, it's really not worth the time anymore.
I will not participate in the tournaments until the rewards for playing NPCs is set back to what it was. I don't care about the win traders any more, let them cheat. All I want is my 2 or 3 platinum packs for a "chance" of getting a rare card. I never felt like I was "gaming" the system by doing so. They were legitimate wins/draws/losses.
A game is played for rewards of some sort. Getting something we deem worth spending our time doing. When that is no longer the case, we stop playing the game. It really is as simple as that.
I have no prayer for that...
100% agree. I assume that they give the tournaments so many matches to try to appeal to people who really like Triple Triad and want to play it more, but for most people (myself included) that many matches turns TT from a fun pass time into a tedious chore.
A very simple solution would be to different Tiers for each tournament. The lower tiers have less matches and have a slightly reduced payout. Hardcore players can still participate in the highest tiers and do their 50 matches and get a slight MGP bonus.
I get today 10887 mgp and 2 platinum cards and played all 50 games against npc. win 47/50. Better than last time I get 0 cards and 5k mgp but still not good as it was before. Before I get 20k+ mgp and 3 platinum cards with same effort.
