Our JP counterparts raised a stink over the BRD changes and we saw a response. Is there a similar thread on the JP boards complaining about MCH? Honest question.
I'd hope that SE could at least see the response to BRD's WM and associate it with GB and possibly include MCH in this fix.
Glad I'm not the only one that feels that's the DPS for MCH low. I switched that to my main and got it to 60. But after playing Bard since day one 2.0, MCH feels really slow; and without procs popping there's a huge loss in DPS. I like the class and all but it does need a fix.
I have a feeling mch will be getting auto booted in alex raid, the dps is just awful.
I don't profess to be any kind of Machinist expert at all, especially after not even 2 full weeks, but in regards to the OP's comment:
If you're just spamming Split Shot waiting on procs, you're doing it wrong. I mean, I'm sure no one does that, but still, you're not without options by far.

sadly we don't really know if the return we do reach the dev, even if it reach them do they feel the need to answer us?
more important, where are the moderator of the european or us forum? in europe and usa? meaning they need to take all the information and send them to yoshida after translate them.... do they do it daily? weekly?
i means yoshida and it team are japanese and most of them don't talk english (i guess) then outside the japanese forum that they can read... they need to wait the us and eu moderator to translate them our feedback. i don't say that the us and eu moderator don't do them jobs, far from it. but i feel the setup for this is bad. the lag between what the japanese receive and what we receive can often be extremely long. then who know if the inverse are not true too?
that something i really want to know now, how is the setup for the moderator of the forum? because soo far, i have the feeling that our complain are dead letter on a lot of subject. and it's scary in a way, because the game grows more and more outside japan territory.... and we are still treated like second zone people. it's unhealthy for the communication and dev of the game that is played worldwide.
in other game you often have sub forum for each class with a moderator dedicated for it, allowing them to be able to gather efficiently the feedback of the community. ok here with time it will be impossible to do it. but a moderator for each role can be a nice add to the management of the forum. some moderator that talk with each other and transfert as fast as possible the information between us and the dev. in the two sense.
the trouble of a jobs can be a fun killer and often drive people out of a game, it's not something that must be underestimate.

MCH might be weak by now but even without buffs it will still probably be desirable in raids for TP/MP regen, BRD as well, and to be honest with how "intermediate" the current hardest content is, I'd rather stay out of a group that is SO worried about an optimal composition that they have to plan roles/jobs around what bullshit they read on Reddit for something as simple as Ravioli EX. Players who take raiding semi-seriously are far less likely to buy into stigma crap like that, obviously bleeding-edge will be running what they believe is the absolute best, but bleeding-edge is a small percentile anyway.
The players who exclude MCH are underconfident about the group's DPS, can't afford the naturally-no-matter-how-good-you-are lower DPS, etc.
I honestly don't believe a solid raiding group would care too much about silly stigmas like that with 3 other DPS in the group pulling more than enough weight, and maybe even tanks/healers pitching in too.

The thing is a solid raiding group is not that common to find, especially when most groups are somehow still stuck on BisEX.The players who exclude MCH are underconfident about the group's DPS, can't afford the naturally-no-matter-how-good-you-are lower DPS, etc.

Bismark being a huge DPS check was a slap to the face to every MCH and BRD out there, because groups are consistently failing it and they are getting frustrated and will optimise their group's DPS even if it means removing blackmages and summoners as well (AND I SAW THIS MANY TIMES).
Hell, my own group that cleared Bismark was 3 ninjas and a monk. That's gotta say something.
