How to obtain 'My Chocobo' for newplayers

This is how you do it,

Firstly, you need to be at rank 22 of any class to join a grand company
In order to achieve this, there are various ways to obtain rank 22, there are Guildleves, Behest, and you can also grind on mobs.

Few tips for new players, Do main story quest from your respective home nation to obtain Retainers and it is also needed in few class quests that will be coming up later on at rank 20.

This is the lists of the Main Scenario Quest, i'd reccomend doing just so you will have no issue advancing in any other quests.

    Ul'dah's Plotline :
    Flowers For All
Courts In the Sand (rank 1 requirements)
    Golden Sacrifices (rank 8 requirements)
    Calamity Cometh (rank 13 requirements)

    Gridania's Plotline :
    Sundered Skies
Souls Gone Wild (rank 1 requirements)
Whispers In the Wood (rank 8 requirements)
Beckons of the Elementals (rank 13 requirements)

    Limsa Lominsa's Plotline :
    Shapeless Melody
Treasures of the Main (rank 1 requirements)
    Legends Adrift (rank 8 requirements)
Never the Twain shall Meet (rank 13 requirements)[/I]

**Every home nation has their own story up until rank 13 quest then everyone will be gathered up at Ul'dah under this quest Fade to White (rank 20 requirements), and will advance the main scenario along with everybody else. *finish Fade to White so you are able to advance in most sidequests or class quests.*

Secondly, after you have done getting up to rank 22, learning the game mechanics and what not, it is time to join the Grand Companies.
There are 3 Grand Companies total as of now, one from each nation, you can join all of them up til Recruit rank. These are the list of quests you need to do to get Recruit rank.

Career Opportunities for Uldah's Grand Company,The Immortal Flames
The Price of Integrity for Limsa's Grand Company, The Maelstorm
Breaking the Seals for Gridania's Grand Company, The Adder's Nest

Next step is 'Officially enlist in a Grand Company (achieve a rank higher than recruit)', this is the step where you pledge your loyalty to only one grand company
There is no info yet on how to achieve this, possibly more quests or maybe paying out certain company seals, which brings us to next step on how to obtain My Chocobo

Acquire a chocobo issuance for 3,000 company seals
    How to obtain 3000 seals?
    • You'll obtain your first 250 seals from the first grand company quest.
    • You'll obtain another 500 seals if you proceed to finish all grand company story quests
    • You'll have easy 1000 seals if you happen to be around on Foundation Comth events.
      - next 1000 seals will comes from Imperial Devices, which is your first instanced dungeon, The Thousands Maws of Totorak, rank 25 requirements and it's a 4man content.
    • next 4000 seals comes from 'Into The Dark', which is the second instanced dungeon, The Dzemael Darkhold, rank 45 requirements and it's an 8man content, completing this is not possible for newplayers however.

This leaves newplayers only at 1750 seals (2750 if they are around on events day) if they managed to clear Totorak dungeon, which will probably requires you to be at least at r30 to clear the dungeons if you do not have a r50 friend to steamroll it for you.

Where can you get another 1250 seals? There is no other alternatives yet until next patch, which might introduces another method of obtaining seals, namely the Caravan Security.

TLR version, what i am trying to say is.. Obtaining My Chocobo isn't easy for the newplayers, it sounds easy for us because we've done all the prereqs and probably have tons of seals from clearing Dzemael, what about the new players? I hope this can give everyone another perspective to look at this matter, and that isn't easy mode at all.

*also credit to Eorzeapedia, for the quests list.

    Main Class
    Summoner Lv 60
Too easy. I should have to do tons of quests for at least a month in every town to get max fame for the chocobo quest. After, I should have to be level 90 and camp a rare monster that spawns once a day in an alliance, and has a .5% chance to drop the quest item, unless you kill the King version which spawns once a week and has a 1% chance to drop it. After it drops the item, I should have to take it to someone who is max rank in at least 5 crafts and there MUST be a LARGE chance that they fail the synth and all of the mats I just collected are lost. Finally, once I have my super rare chocobo mats I trade it to an NPC and I get my epic super rare chocobo whistle so that I will be the envy of the entire server.

Oh, did I mention the rare monster only drops 1 item for one person? Yup, that, too.
