Clemency is a spell. So stuff like Caonvalescense, Defiance and Fey Illumination should work on it (which could result in a 11.6k crit with a 4.5k base).

-looks at storms path, inner beast, second wind, and bloodbath. all of which can be made better by internal release and berserk and two of which are indefinitely spammable-Correct me if I'm missing something here.
Warriors, the self-healing class, get a 1200 potency self-heal on a 60-second cooldown.
Paladins, the mitigation class, get a 1200 potency heal that can be used on self or anyone else in the party within 30 yalms (and they get 50% of that heal themselves if they use it on someone else), on global cooldown, for the cost of probably less than a third of their MP (I don't know what Paladin MP pools look like at 60).
In the time I can use Equilibrium once a Paladin could use Clemency probably half a dozen times if he needed to.
Is there something major I'm missing here or did the self-heal proficiency award just get passed from Warriors to Paladins?
The two heals are fairly balanced actually. While Paladins may be able to spam theirs more, they only gain the full benefit from the skill when cast on someone else. When cast on themselves, they only gain the initial heal, not the extra 50%. Further, MP is a massively limiting factor in it. I can guarantee 2 casts in a row, maybe 3 if I successfully block with Sheltron. But casting this skill requires me to use a global cooldown, and interrupt any combos I was currently in the middle of. Just like casting cure or stoneskin, this skill can not be used between combos. Further, the threat of interruption is very real. Bosses in particular are fickle, since a majority of their skills are used between auto attacks, and are guaranteed to interrupt in most cases. Further, auto attacks are also likely to interrupt. I'd be more than willing to trade Clemency for Warrior's Equilibrium in a heart beat, especially to combine it with Divine Veil so I don't have to rely on a healer to trigger the AOE shields. Yeah... I'd give up Clemency for an instant cast self heal that can be used between global cooldowns, is uninterruptable, and can trigger my AOE shields... the wet dreams that would inspire would be epic...
I wouldn't trade Clemency for Equilibrium. There are countless times I was able to pull a Clemency while getting hammered by the boss esp when I can see that the healer is struggling to heal and most my defensive cooldowns are not yet up. It's just a matter of knowing when it is safe to cast it. I sometimes even pop Hallowed Ground and that's 1 less person to heal and help the healer to top up slackers.
Used so much Clemency today. Still haven't seen an interupt
It's actually quite easy to get clemency up pretty high. And 4.5k crit is probably in full vit set up. With two STR accessories and conva popped, I can easily crit for over 7k with it (I'm currently doing around 3.7k flat) so 12k doesn't seem all that unrealistic. There might've been echo involved with that 12k as well. Otherwise, you can get some rather decent numbers with clemency. But in no way does it replace a healer. It's just a good tool to have.
I'm getting 7k cross with bad gear at 60(strength spec). Throw in paladins superior cova and your already at 10k

This is well balanced with the spirit of each job btw: warrior's one is all about efficiency -- no time for messing around mentality. You only get it once every minute, and only on yourself, but when you need it, you get it right naow and without messing with whatever else you are doing. Meanwhile, Pld get a lot lot more utility out of clemency, being able to spam it (at least for a short while), to cast it on others, and to help the party around...
Pretty well balanced IMO, and quite in line with the spirit of each job.
Does equilibrium get enhanced by defiance? Someone said it doesnt (which is in line with second wind and blood bath) but wanted to check.
