    With pld in its current states does anyone think it would be possible for pld ot to sub for a healer in an 8 man, and would doing so be worth the trade off?

    no, impossible.. clemency has a huge ass cast time and casting cost.. you'll run dry after 2-3 casts AND you'll need to riot blade like 3-4x just to recast once..

    If PLD can replace a healer, then you're probably better of solo healing the content and adding in a DPS. I can get off 2 heals and a Stoneskin and be at 0 HM, spending multiple GCDs to refill.
    Alternatively a PLD MT could assist a solo healer in certain respects, and being MT would mean more MP regeneration.
