Fishing Folklore.. Is it a thing?

Although the bug where your folklore tome would be "applied" to someone random has been fixed (it was just a scary text bug), I can't really make heads or tails of fishing folklore tomes.

I used mine for Dravania and while it claimed to have updated my fishing guide... Nothing's changed.
Checked with my fishing log and nothing seems to have changed either.

Anybody know what's going on?

Are you sure it's been fixed though? I used mine today and it said it gave it to someone who was not me, and then I checked my fishing guide and, yup nothing happened.

Perhaps I just got lucky in that case, but there were no text errors when I used my Dravanian Folklore Tome.

People are reporting a similar bug with BTN/MIN, but the new items/nodes are showing up in their gathering log.

My understanding of the fishing folklore is that it wont reveal any entries in the fishing journal, but will allow you access to that fish

This is correct. Once you catch a folklore fish it shows in the fishing log as having required folklore, but the ???s are all there prior to using it.
