    Proposed Tweak to Ley Lines

    After playing BLM to 54, and War to 60 to have a sense of the fight mechanics, I would like to propose a small change to Ley Lines.

    BLM has a history of being heavily punished by movement. With Ley Lines, we are also punished for repositioning. There are a lot of mechanics that simply target ranged dps and force you out of the circle, causing you to lose the buff for 1-2 gcds, not counting time spent moving and not casting. I propose the following solution.

    Make Ley Lines apply a buff to you which gives you the 15% Haste effect.
    This buff will last 6 seconds, and is refreshed by being in the Ley Lines circle every tick (ideally every second if the game code allows for it).

    This way if something forces you out of your circle, you have at least 3 (ideally 6) seconds worth of the buff on you, which should be long enough to move out, cast, and move back in.

    That's an excellent idea. Keeps why leylines intended, and adds the whole "The empowered magic slips through your fingers when away from the leylines" feel to it. This way, we can reposition, but still bound to a location where our leylines are popped overall.

    By allowing that buff, go back to refresh...might as well removed ground key circle and give a permanent buff..... No risk

    There are times where a ground aoe or some other effect will prevent you from returning to a particular area. Such as the last boss of Fractal.
    Realistically there should be "some" risk of completely losing the buff if you play poorly.
    That said, another option may be to reduce the CD to 60s, to line up with many of our other 60s damage boosts. That way you are not completely screwed if you were forced out of your circle.

    Heh seems that bosses love to cast aoes as soon as you cast it. I myself would have prefered a buff over the circle great idea one I thought of as well. For now I guess knowing the boss, his mechanics, what he does at a certain point is the key to using ley lines effectively. I only used the ability at times when I knew for sure i'd get the most out of it.

    How about just increase the Ley Line circle radius by 50%. As it stands now most ranged AoE attacks fill up the circle entirely, increase the area we can stand in a bit and that would be able to be mitigated some.

    Thats also a possibility, its got a 3y radius... thats tiny.
    Making it 6y would at lease let us stay in it for most circle aoes.

    What's the point of having it be a circle if you almost never have to leave it?

    Removing the drawback to the skill isn't going to make it balanced. Maybe reduce the CD to 60 seconds, but...don't remove the drawback.

    How about we give Battle Litany a 50% chance to not activate but go on cooldown when you cast it and call it a drawback

    Sure, but only if we completely remake leylines to be a party wide 15% spellspeed buff with a 50% chance to fail.
