Is there PvP gear obtained through PvP only? Yes! And it is glorious. Frontlines tends to have FAR shorter queue times than Wolves' Den, and you get the same PvP currency for doing both. I suggest focusing on Frontlines to build up your rank and Wolf Marks (said currency)!
Any sort of special macros? I will be no help here, I'm sorry. I don't use macros.
Also I noticed my character has the option to edit the character and change it? Is that like a 1 time ever thing or how does that work? Does it just appear every so often. You must have used your Fantasia; your character is pretty much set once you create it, until/unless you use an item called Fantasia which can be obtained several ways. Using a Fantasia allows you to re-edit your character from the login screen.
