Need help please. Have a few questions. :)

I recently came back to the game. I'm not max level yet or anything. I felt like a rogue RIN would be a fun pick to level and PvP.
Anyways last night I took some time setting up my UI. Removing error messages during combat and rolling text to make my screen more clean.
But I wanted to know a few more things about the game.
Is there PvP gear obtained through PvP only?
Addons?
Cast abilities at focus target?
Any sort of special macros. Mouse over and what not if it does exist.
I've also seen some PvP videos where melee characters have it so their player is always facing at their target and locked. Is that really the best way and advantage to get all damage off?
I think that's about all my questions. Anything else you feel like adding to let me know please do. And thank you
Also I noticed my character has the option to edit the character and change it? Is that like a 1 time ever thing or how does that work? Does it just appear every so often.

Any tips that can also make my leveling process faster would also be appreciated please.

I don't PVP so I can't answer much about that, but I believe that beyond the i55 crafted PVP gear the rest of the gear is obtained through the PVP currency "wolf marks".

There are no sanctioned addons for the game. The text command for focus target is <f>, (ie /ac "Fire" <f>) The text command for mouse over macros is <mo> (/ac "Cure" <mo>). There is a glossary of text commands here, which is very useful when creating macros.

PvP Gear: Yes. It's pretty much all glamour unless you bother with the Wolves' Den, because the PvP that people bother with (Frontlines) is item level synced.
Cast abilities at focus target: If you macro it, yes. Otherwise, you have to select it. To use a specific skill on a focus target, the macro line would be "/ac "Skill Name" <f>"
Special macros: Mouseover is <mo>. It will not target the enemy if placed at the end of the /ac line (for example, /ac "Skill Name" <mo>) but will simply cast it on the enemy without targetting them. [Here] is a useful guide for macros.

Is there PvP gear obtained through PvP only? Yes! And it is glorious. Frontlines tends to have FAR shorter queue times than Wolves' Den, and you get the same PvP currency for doing both. I suggest focusing on Frontlines to build up your rank and Wolf Marks (said currency)!
Any sort of special macros? I will be no help here, I'm sorry. I don't use macros.

You must have used your Fantasia; your character is pretty much set once you create it, until/unless you use an item called Fantasia which can be obtained several ways. Using a Fantasia allows you to re-edit your character from the login screen.
