They can do the caravan repeat a few times at rank 25.

It might even take them DAYS.

I fully understand that they can do the caravan quest a few times to get the marks they need; plus, the 1k bonus from the Foundation Day event makes it easier as well.

But that doesn't change the fact that you were totally wrong with your earlier post to me; or the fact that your position on this matter is somewhat skewed by the immense time you've spent playing the game, and isn't at all reflective of how the Devs are focusing on creating content. And shouldn't be!!

Getting a chocobo at rank 20 will in fact be tough.

They will have to do a few company quests and maybe a few caravans.

Should prolly nerf that before it comes out. We wouldn't want anyone to have to break a sweat.

Maybe they could rent one until they can get their own personal with marks?

Actually, the winner here is you, not me. I don't win by pointing out facts; you win by acknowledging them in a gracious manner.

Regarding the 'too easy' part, I'll repeat a question I asked earlier to others: have you made a habit of killing the r80+ mobs we see running around? The r90+ ones? It's not like there isn't challenges out there to be had...

You're also still wrong on the basic facts; you won't be able to get a chocobo at r20 without doing a ton of the repeatable quests, because you can't do toto-rak until 25. And if you're a new player who didn't get the 1k bonus for Foundation day, you'll REALLY need to do a lot of them to get 3k marks.

i dont think the rank 25 caravan is gonna give many seals, i think most player will have to at least complete the lvl 25 dungeon to get enough seals which to me is a good enough challenge for a mount.

This is not a "TURN FFXIV HARDCORE" request.

We want SOMETHING that isn't casual. Not the whole freekin game.

Give the people that ARE hardcore a "bone" so to speak.

So stop the "Hardcore vs casual" debate. Its not the issue.

The issue is that ALL of FFXIV is casual. There is NO hardcore content for us.

They should created a hardcore dungeon just for you and the other 1000 players like you, it can be endless death and challenge with ultimate rewards that no one else will have. It could take you a year to finish, etc. Unfortunately you are not the average gamer and I don't think FFXIV is out to please you. Can there be harder content yes, but realistically you have to keep in mind that many folks still haven't cleared or gotten all the gear from DH. The future player base will have still have hardcores but my "thought" is the vast majority will be casual. Let the Casual vs. Hardcore vs. EAsy Vs. Difficult arguement continue to rage! I have a feeling this discussion will still be going on a year from now..

There is hardcore stuff until you beat it. When the R45 dungeon came out, it took some people a while to figure out how to beat it. Some of us are still enjoying it because we have "younger" people to the game and it's their first time.

It is only hardcore until you defeat it. I bet when they introduced the dungeon you were quiet about having nothing to do "hardcore".

You also realize this debate will never end because every time new content will be introduced, people will end up beating/winning it all until other new content is introduced.

Meanwhile, like someone else posted here, go fight lvl 75+ mobs, they are extremelly challenging, and they will surely demand all your skill.

Exactly. Most people didnt beat the Darkhold on their first time through...and definitely not Totorak unless they went in way over the recommended level (which I still think Yoshi should've done something to prevent that). Some people are just going to keep going at it day after day until they beat it...and then claim it was too easy later on (once they've found what they believe a sure strategy).

I'm not aware of anyone saying it should be made easier. Why does gaining access to a new feature come down to a choice between making it difficult for someone with a mountain of rank 50 classes to obtain or nothing?

If you haven't done every existing company quest - including DH - you can't even get 3k guild marks. And if you do, that's the vast majority of your marks.

You're only complaining b/c you've done the work already. For someone who is brand new to the game, it would take a long time to get to that point (r45 char for most takes a few months). At the very least you have to hit r25 to do toto-rak, and then maybe flesh it out a bit with some caravan defense.

Some of you guys here really lack perspective on anything, yaknow that? Let me ask: are you regularly killing the r80+ mobs that we see around the world? No? Well, go challenge yourself instead of wasting time bitching about things being not challenging enough.

I do agree with this guy, most of the people who are complaining are seeing it from the beta perspective, while if they took a year or 2 break came back when 2-3 expansions come out they will be whining they cant rank up fast enough or some crap.

BTW the mission hasn't even come out and you are already in /slitwrists mode?
