Oh, but I like this game. Isn't it obvious that would be the only feasible reason that would keep me writing this at 15 minutes to 3am? And more than like it, I enjoy it. But it's like with the country in which I live, I choose to be very vocal with criticism, because I believe that if everybody does that, it ultimately will be better, but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. (Well, perhaps if Michele Bachmann wins the presidency, but that's another story.)

And you are right in many of the things that you point out in the post I quote above. I still believe that it is up to us to keep the level up. It's like with the theater, when you start applauding crap, it becomes the rule. Didn't you see that they actually thought they could get away with the material they launched with??

Seriously though as a gamer you owe it to yourself to try other games. Now's the perfect time to chill on FFXIV whilst experiencing some truly revolutionary gameplay courtesy of Demon's Souls. Not only that, but those servers won't be online forever, maybe not even in another few months. Best to give it a go while you can.

But again, it wasn't whether the fight was hard or not, it was the fact that those dodos were standing there, waiting to be killed. It was not challenging either for the two or three rank-appropriate players killing them near me. Perhaps it was longer... but not more challenging.

Everyone needs to give this convo a rest and just wait for the game to catch up. Once they build the rock solid base for new players they will work on more medium content and then more hardcore endgame content. But it's not going to happen until they completely deck out the lower levels and bring those new players in with the PS3 launch. After that I have no doubt you will be amazed what they bring out next. This game has so much potential in the plot. With the imperials and who knows what else. Eorzea is only one Continent in the game and future expansions will no doubt have in depth hard content. The issue is, we all started playing a broken game, that was not balanced, or had appropriate content and they are playing catch up. Alot of players plowed through everything, taking advantage of every loop hole they could find(leve quest fail) and now they have nothing to do. Normally all this base work would be done by now and we would already be getting into the good and hard stuff.

Sit back enjoy the new content knowing that our time will come.
