Thanks for the tipI just unlocked it and love how Awareness nulls the crit from the flank and rear. War's now have 4 mandatory cc skills, Convalescence, Internal Release, Awareness and Provoke (needed for end-game).
Awareness is only good on trash packs. You want Second Wind or Mantra otherwise.
I've actually dropped flash in favor of Second Wind since tp is no longer an issue for warriors and yes Awareness + Raw Intuition is for large pulls but this should be a bottom of the barrel cd for if dps is too slow because you are left with 5 seconds of open crit damage which can easily kill you if your healer is not prepared. Speaking from experience.

I'm not so sure though because remember a lot of bosses have some pretty nasty attacks that require you to reposition but I guess you can always lock on. I find that makes it harder to dodge some things though.
Only time i use a cool down on a pull is when bosses use those random hard hitters with every second or third auto attack (assuming they do one before IB is applied) otherwise I'd just save them for actual mechanic damage.
After reading this thread I think I should offer my deepest condolences to every barely geared healers out there.
You shouldn't be running dry on TP to begin with. If you are it's because you've OP spammed your TP away and therefore Flash has no use to you since you have an overwhelming amount of hate on everything already. The reason you use Flash is for it's 360 AOE that only costs MP (which you have no other use for). It's also good for picking up fresh adds (Shadows in 13, Blue/Green Dragons in Bismarck EX, etc.) and for picking up packs as you're moving.I've actually dropped flash in favor of Second Wind since tp is no longer an issue for warriors and yes Awareness + Raw Intuition is for large pulls but this should be a bottom of the barrel cd for if dps is too slow because you are left with 5 seconds of open crit damage which can easily kill you if your healer is not prepared. You shouldn't be at a point where you're dying from auto attack crits, but really the last slot is a toss up and it's different from fight to fight. I like SW because it can be used in Deliverance as a smaller Equilibrium and can also negate a crit auto in a less RNG-heavy way. In dungeons, though, I use Awareness due to how often I pop Raw Intuition and the mobs decide to run all around me.
Yeah, you should strafe to avoid turning.
Except there are certain mechanics that are like conal -> circle right next to it or whatever. Being locked on can be a liability that's why it just seems like a no brainer to use awareness just in case. It depends on the fight though it's not like you can't change CC skills.
You don't need to lock on to use strafe. By default it's Q and E, which you can change to A and D or use the Standard control setting.Except there are certain mechanics that are like conal -> circle right next to it or whatever.
