First ability to purchase with points?

I've got about six thousand marks now and I'm not sure if I should buy Heavy Swing or keep saving up and buy Full Swing. I'm only R24 and I see that Full Swing says the optimal rank is 40. So go with Heavy or is there another ability I should look for first?

Right now the only mark stuff from MRD that is worth getting is Intimidation. You can get Heavy Swing and later on Full Swing, but they are not even close to be what they used to...

Right now buying Heavy Swing is just so you can have an extra miss every minute! Good to combo with Feint! (Oh lord...these jokes actually get me depressed....lemme stop the post here...)

Hmmm, I don't do any tanking yet so I guess I'll just hold off for now.

If you want to get more hate, get Intimidation, otherwise grab Heavy Swing then Full Swing.
The accuracy is not as bad as it used to be on MRD, so it's not an extra miss, not at all. It's a hit enough of the time, more powerful than your basic hits and will also help in building TP for the WS you want to use. Likewise with Full Swing but compared to Broad Swing and has a bigger range.

Having three basic attacks to build TP and cause damage with is much better than 1, regardless of how people feel about them compared to how they used to be before AA. End of story. Get them. =P

I agree with Narctiss,I would get both as soon as I had the points. They are your tp builders, even more so when you pop invigorate then Heavy Swing,Broad Swing, Full Swing.

You can buy the Intimidation trait multiple times? That would be nice, I'll aim for that when I start tanking. In the meantime I'll try out Heavy Swing.

You can only buy it once, they were just emphasizing on getting that first.

It's down to you what you get but I still hold by getting Heavy Swing before Intimidation. You don't HAVE to be the tank or be stuck in a tank role. Do whatever you want with your class. Like the Cap'n said though, Invigorate + your three basics are your TP builders. You might have Intimidation but if you're not getting hits on the enemy you're not going to be getting as much hate as you could, if you so chose to tank.

Shrug - whatever ya like. But I'll warn ya, the time you should 'start tanking' is right now. To rank up from 30-40 you'll doubtlessly be in parties of some sort and like it or not, you're in a tank role...
