Isn't that one of the reason you started this thread? If you had space in your retainer why then complain about paying for extra storage?

Unless your a collector then yeah I can understand your space problem but how is people having more retainers giving them a edge over you? Just level 1 type of Class I.E Tank class then get rid of all your tanking gear or Melee DPS class. It's how I do, I've got 2 retainers and most of them are full of stuff I don't need.

Its additional. You don't have to pay for it. While I agree we need more room especially if your a crafter. It is optional, buy it dont buy it..

Pretty simple, as a crafter, most of my in game revenue generation is derived from selling stuff on the Market Board through my retainers.
With 2 retainers, I can sell up to 40 items at a time.
With 8 retainers, another person can sell up to 160 items at a time.

Pay to win is anything that you can spend real money on that gives you some sort of advantage.

Therefore, the person paying for the "extra storage" also get's access to an in game feature that I do not have and can leverage that advantage to generate more in game money, and get further ahead.

2. No, it's pay-to-win. If I have to choose what I'm saving and what I'm throwing away while someone who is paying extra doesn't have to make that choice? Then later you realize, oh crap, I should have saved that, while the extra-paying person goes on to "win". Nevermind that retainers do more than just hold your stuff. Leveling crafting is much easier with a bunch of retainers gathering materials, rather than 2.

I agree with you. It's BS. But your main argument shouldn't be the inventory space. You don't need 50 stacks of animal leather nor 20 full stacks of dodo loins. Your main argument should be the increased amount of ventures/hr and market board space. That is what gives an unfair advantage because they rake in more than the average player... actually getting a return for their money.

Inventory space just needs proper management. Especially with all the food items that SE is throwing at you with end game quests.If you don't need it get rid of it. Sell it, NPC it, Use it, whatever. If you are a hoarder then that's a personal issue. Now armory space should be increased... so many times... so many... "Insufficient Armory Chest space".

Inventory space can be fixed therefore it's not "pay 2 win". It's a luxury. Additional ventures/hr and market board space, however, can't be gotten through in-game means. It HAS to be paid for. Therefore THAT is pay2win.

Either way, in a sense having more retainers to your employ is pay to win.

I have 3, i changed my sub to basic so i can only have 1 toon per world active (8 total) But the sub is less costly so i can afford that 1$ a month for that retainer. Though i think its total BS we only get 2 retainers after all the items the new expac added.

I Don't know if extra bag space is p2w. I do think paying for 6 extra retainers is awfully close.
