From my recollection it just swapped the numbers around in the character sheet and didn't show an extra 10% etc. The effect of food shows up, as do FC buffs, but that's all I noticed.
In short, it's working the same in HW as it did in ARR.
It's always been like that. Only INT/MND swap has shown on the character screen when toggling CS. A lot of comments are from people just noticing now that you've pointed it out or talking out their anus.
I was bummed about the PoM nerf. At first I was "meh, we lose 80% of the spell speed it gave, but at least it still buffs spell speed to go nicely with the new HoT formula." The after testing it in-game I was "it doesn't even affect spell speed anymore -_- way to double-nerf it SE." This change, coupled with the fact that divine seal does not work with any of the new job skills...is there any point to playing WHM anymore? SCH got enhanced heal power to bring it up to WHM level, but WHM did not get enhanced support/ mitigation to bring it up to SCH level. It would be fine thing if Divine Seal still gave the job an edge heal-wise, but it doesn't even work on the new "abilities." Asylum mostly is the biggest let-down for ignoring Divine Seal. I can forgive SE for the other 2 skills.
Yeah the PoM nerf seemed... unnecessary. It released as a crap skill, SE buffed it to make it an OK skill, now it's pretty much crap again (Especially with SE making MP management so tight).
That said, WHM is doing just fine. It's still the strongest (in the pure healing sense) of the three healers and Heavensward just made it even better while shoring up its weaknesses. And while I realize some might prefer the more technical SCH style or AST's think-on-your-feet with cards/buffs style, I'm finding WHM is quite fun.
