Once you burn through the law tomes, you find yourself needing the seals with no option other than doing your daily hunts and A/S hunting/waiting for A/S calls. You can get tomes from hunts, but you cannot get seals from expert dungeons. If you do all 4 of your roullettes is several hundred tomes a day on its own, more than enough for a piece of gear or two... I don't really see why hunts would be a "good" option to farm law tomes, even if you rode the "a rank" train and hit all of them you are getting 40 tomes per over the course of several hours.... Meanwhile I can spend 40 minutes doing expert roulletes and get 160 plus. Trial roullette takes 10-20 min and will net you 80.
If we are talking just farming law tomes I don't think hunts are a very efficient way of doing that.
why not?
it's not even hard to improve it substantially from what we have now.
make the B Ranks a daily and the A Ranks the weekly.
it shouldn't be hard to do the math and figure out how to pay out on those so that it's comparable to the average of what they are paying out now.
or you just ignore hunts, dont die of an heart attack and have the 10 more ilvl a week or two later.
Its not like you are required to have ilvl 180 anyways.

Maybe it's working as intended in Japan?
But yeah, would be nice if seals were rewarded in dungeons.
Still, atleast daily hunt seals this time are a viable, albeit slower method of getting gear upgrades.

No, but probably gonna need i180 for the raids later.. otherwise, SE wouldn't have made i180 so readily available so soon.

It is such a lazy design to tie it to the Hunts IMO.
That said, this time around, at least on my server, it is manifesting quite oddly. Instead of the zerg drama, there is almost complete silence on almost all LS and /shout chat. It seems groups have taken to doing 8 man ninja kills of the marks, to give them the raiding edge over others.

God how I hate hunts..

You do hunts because
a. It's easier than instance (requires no skill or gear what so ever).
b. You get seals AND tomes, by the time you can afford your first ilv170 you can make it 180 immediately.
Once you got enough seals to upgrade all your gear slots you switch over to instance/roulette and already with a bunch of ilv180 to boot.
No time wasted.

Except they are so boring (imo) and dungeons are fun, so Id actually say that hunts are time wasters.
Id rather have fun and be 10ilvls below everyone else tbh but Id say the majority of the playerbase dont agree since shout is filled with INVITE ME PLEASE IM HEALER (doesnt sound desperate at all..)
Hunts aren't even that good as a farming method imo. Except the A and S Ranks in the new 3.0 areas, they drop a lot of Centurio Seals.
Currently you can net 110 Centurio Seals a day, and 870 in a week, that's almost enough to upgrade 3 items.
Law farming is easy with 420 tomes a day through roulettes, 460 if somebody is new to the Expert dungeon.
Whereas you're looking at 10 Law per Hunt kill. Good luck killing 46 A Rank mobs in a day ^^
