    Skill speed, det, crit changes?

Anyone done any testing on these? Got any values? How much crit to increase damage? Is it an increase to the crit multiplier? Like + 10 crit = 1.5 becomes 1.51?

How bad was the nerf to det on auto attacks?

I did some testing on the effect of skill speed. After adding 164 skill speed I got a 2% increase in my DoT damage, does not tic any faster.

You could make a game where all you did was run through fields of flowers holding hands and you'd still get a guy telling you you're doing it wrong.

Skill speed and Spell speed say nothing about increasing the speed of dots. Only the cast time/recast (which is the same as it has always been) and now increases the potency as well. How much point for point it increases the potency? That is something I would like to know also.

I play i179 Bard on PS4 so I don't parse, but I can tell you what I've noticed, although I have no numbers to back it up.

Skill Speed - I have about 160 more points than I had at lvl 50 - My DoTs seem tick a whole lot harder and seem to take a larger portion off mob health - not sure if ticking more often, but I can definitely tell their potency is buffed - by how much, not sure. Skill speed however is wrecking my TP outside of Minuet. I feel like Bard is now meant to be more of a burst, DoT, and AOE class than that of a mobility class.

Determination - I don't recall off the top of my head how much DET I currently have but I know that it is not less than what I had at level 50 - my auto attacks out of Minuet seem to be hitting for about the same they did at level 50 before the patch - so with increasing 250 DEX and whatever increase in weapon damage and AA damage from the i180 weapon, I see no increase in AA damage. Either it isn't scaling well past 50 or the DET nerf was that significant. I can see why Minuet was pushed on Bards.

Befor patch 3.0 I wrote down all average auto atk damage made on a dummy puppet

After the patch I checked the numbers:

And lol...same damage. cant see any differences!

    Diminishing returns are HUGE.
I don't have a full i170/i180 set yet, but nothing scales well from lvs50-59.
I hope they rework materia because those tier1-tier4 stats do almost nothing for a Level 60.

You can't trust Parses at the moment as Dots always were an estimated amount as the actual battle numbers on the Parser were simulated. You have to look at the actual number on the screen when it ticks and compare.

Don't always trust parsers. Especially after new expansion content when parsers themselves haven't updated for new skills...

I did some tests as DRK, and from my findings, 21 DET was superior to 6 STR, but inferior to 8 STR...
Then I did some comparisons with a piece of gear with +9 STR, +27 DET -51 Crit. Welp, I was critting more with this setup and still doing less on my minimum damage values than with a setup with +51 Crit, -9 STR, - 27 DET.

So, not too sure about the DET nerf to auto attacks, but what I found out is that crit is reaaaaaaaaaalllllllyyyyy weird.

Even during hunts in full parties, with 'real' dps jobs... Or in Neverreap rush parties... People would just hover between 7 & 11 % crit

    Crit seems really useless.

I saw some abilities randomly critting for +40% damage, some for +60%... o_O

About Skill Speed & Spell Speed, they apparently now allow dots to deal more dmg? Otherwise they don't affect the cooldowns much more than it did in 2.55 , still need A LOT of SS to reduce the cooldowns under 2.40 sec

Didn't use a parser, I bought 2 sets of mythrite gear and melded a ton of skill speed materia on to one of the sets so that the stats were the same for both except 1 set had more skill speed. The damage increased by 1 point (from doing 58-64 up to 59-65) this is between a 1.6-2% damage increase at 518 skill speed (354 + 164) so 164 skill speed is about a 2% increase.
