Anyone else have a BAMF Chocobo?

Has anyone else noticed their chocobo being a whole lot more powerful since HW came out? It might just be difficulty of the new mobs vs leveling gear, but my bird consistently pulls hate off me doing daily hunts when I'm not using CDs. I also got a 2400 HP cure from him the other day

They are super helpful too now.

Remember that chocobos do not scale with gear.

They were a hell of a lot more powerful relative to a character in i55 vs a character in i130. Same basic concept applies here - they'll gradually become obsolete as you get more and more geared up (they already notable start to lag behind a level 60 character in full i170 gear)

My Chocobo has more natural HP than me as warrior right now.
I gotta gear up some still but Tova here has 13,344 HP. It's pretty crazy!

I, for one, welcome our new Chocobo overlords, and would like to remind them that as the Warrior of Light I could be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground Gysahl caves.

They still did not add real defense stance. I'm being hit and my Chocobo stands there like an idiot. After i start using skill the bird attacks also. First game where i see this sort of behavior. Only stances there are, are those which makes it use different skills instead of actually attacking or defending.

I think it was programmed that way, so that if you've slept monsters it won't run around and wake them all up. Otherwise why are you being just as bad as the chocobo and just standing there? Trying to talk to a npc, well get a auto attack in, then disengage.

Cit has 5k more hp than me and can pull mobs off me no problem, whether I focus on them or not...
As a DPS it plays on my adventage... positionals :v

Well, now at least I can practice Shadewalker!

You have to use skills from the specific tree and they'll be used when in that stance. Have you spent your skills in the defence tree yet or are you just low level.
