My biggest love, so far, is the lack of jobs feeling the same.

Ok, sure, they all have a rotation. They all have skills that you press in a 1-2-3 order at some point or another or some kind of rotation. They all have stats that are "Best" for them due to number-crunchers.

But that's not what I'm talking about right now.

What I love the most about this game, is just how every class feels different. How every class can bring synergy to the party, and is defined as its own outside of the rotation that it provides.

A DRG now provides Battle Litany (+CRIT) and Disembowel (+Piercing)
A DRK brings Reduced INT
a MNK brings Reduced INT, Mantra, Reduced Blunt
A PLD brings reduced STR
A WAR brings Slashing Resistance and Damage Reduction, as well as superior DPS
a NIN brings slashing resistance, TP, and threat.

Some of these classes have overlap. But none of the skills feel exactly the same. They benefit from one another, but they don't feel like they're heavily homoginized. They all have their own unique benefits to the party as a whole.

I love this current meta. I love feeling like my job is defined from the other jobs. I love that I'm not bored when I go from WAR to DRG because DRG just feels like WAR 2.0, and I'm glad that when I go from DRG to NIN the dynamic of it changes yet again.

So, SE, please - I hope you never change this philosophy. I hope you keep bringing us awesome class identity, while keeping us as balanced as possible. I'm not under any delusion that WAR and DRG are potentially OP as a melee, and I look forward to seeing how you buff the other classes to help compensate for it.

For the reference: I think the reason I love this so much, is because Wrath of the Lich King (Gasp WoW!) upset me so much when my Shadow Priest felt no different from a Hunter. We all basically brought overlapped skills that didn't feel very defining to the job. I really hope that FFXIV never goes down that path, because I -LOVE- how jobs feel right now.
