It's a decent WS, but nothing special. It's not really worth the MP cost and it's damage is not very notable at higher levels.



This is not entirely accurate.

Red Lotus II will strike legs and after so much damage is accumulated to that area, may (not will) bring Great Buffalo to his knees. Flashfreeze II does a much better job of this anyway, having a greater chance to auto-incapacitate a buffalo in this manner.

yea, basically it has its uses but is not entirely effective as a standard WS.

Red Lotus does mediocre damage but from all accounts, it almost never misses. So if you're fighting an enemy that has higher evasion, it would be useful for tagging some damage on them. Also the Fire damage helps against enemies weak to Fire. I use it quite often against a few of the NM's just for the sake of a guaranteed hit.
