    "Support Classes"

Are played by lazy and shameless people who want to be carried by the other dps while justifying their subpar damage by pressing one button when their healers call for it. Pressing one button every 2-3 minutes is complex and takes much more skill than a caster or a melee ever is.

Carry me like a support main,

I will rename myself to luggage and go to bottom lane and throw a ward out once every 3 minutes while I afk in a bush.

Or. OR. OR. Supports are played by people who genuinely enjoy a middle ground between feeling useful and not feeling total pressure.

Even though I typically enjoy being the center of attention as a tank, I sometimes like to DPS or support, because I feel like they're less pressure, at times. Especially when learning new content. I'll go into some new dungeons as a DPS and observe more experienced tanks to see how they handle pulls and what they do during certain times during boss fights. Does that make me lazy and shameless? No. It means I want to do the best that I can when I actually have to go into that dungeon during a roulette as a tank and need to know what to do, so I can possibly inform others who aren't 100% sure of themselves. Not every support is a leech.

It's too bad this game doesn't have support classes.

We aren't lazy, we just don't do any damage.

I wish there was a game that had support classes.

Forsaken World's bard was by far the best bard implementation I had ever seen.

Its too bad that game was awful.

Also: FF14 would be terrible with a support class, with its undersized parties. "Mandatory" classes are already being blurred, though BRD still brings something no other class brings, magic damage debuff.

To be fair, no other job can compare to the mp and tp regen bard can also provide as well.

I really wish FF14 did. I like debuffing and crowd control. But this game unfortunately does not support a dedicated role such as that.

XI has support classes, in-fact that's all bard was. Was done quite well in my opinion each of the support jobs (COR/BRD/GEO, DNC probably being the only issue, turned out to be more of a solo job than party support), one of the main reasons I decided to play bard in XIV. You know what's better than a magic debuff? A debuff that effects all damage. It's too bad no job has that...
