    I'd have more hope for this, but this was also an issue that plagued ARR and nothing was done to fix it.

    Basically, progression gear is gated behind a system controlled by randomness and griefers. All it takes is one griefer hunting at that time to keep plenty of players from making it to most hunts in time.

    And now that people are acquiring endgame gear, these hunt mobs are dying even faster. Was in a full party with a tank and my Titan summoned and we STILL didn't get full credit...

    Most parties just have their healers spam Cure 3 since rapid and powerful healing generates aggro far faster than anything else.

    I would like to say that the issue here are on the people. The hunt themselves is not ONLY the contributing factor here, but you also have to look at the players.

    I once found an A rank in the Churning Mists, Bune. I shouted and a minute later, the stream of shouts came in. No PT was called. I didn't join it myself because I wanted to rush some MSQ but to my surprise, about 3 minutes later, there are still people coming in and they are being accepted. Silence came and someone shouted to see if anyone else on the way. There was no reply and they just pulled and killed in less than a minute.

    Well to be fair, it was off-peak time so only the hardcore hunters were on as I saw some familiar faces. So in conclusion, it's not -totally- the hunts' fault or SE's fault, the hunters need to have a little tolerance is all.

    As with any other people issue in the game, they are doing these things because it rewards them highly, despite their bad actions. Get rid of that reward and you'll get rid of the abusers.

    i will say the same stuff i have said on the french forum, when you create a feature for a game, if you don't take in account the person that will use the feature you fail drastically.

    say it's the fault of human to be human, because be greedy and selfish is be human, even if it's not the best part of the human, but that still part of us. when they have create the hunt, they have simply think: hey that look cool, people will work together and be fair.... but that was terribly naive of them part. mankind is not something as good than this.

    and if they have think that other people will act like japanese is worst. FF14 is a game that are played in the whole world, you have european, australian, asian, american.... not everyone have the same culture... then when you create a feature you must think in a term of mankind in general, with it flaws and good side. for now the hunt is feature not adapted for most of the mankind and simply need to be rework from the ground for make it a feature adapted to the player base!


    for make simple, if you are carpenter making a table for small person and aim to sell them to person high of 1m80 you fail... it's the same!

    The tech exists. Blizzard had mobs in WoW that scaled as more people entered combat with them up to a max health and damage. The FF14 team learns new mechanics and gains new tech every patch. They'll get around to on the fly stat scaling eventually just as I'm sure they'll get around to single player roulettes for TT tourney...=x To fix hunts, A ranks need to become a daily reward and have a minute or so respawn time. S ranks need something similar, or have a massive health increase to become server-wide events like the world boss FATEs. But making A ranks a daily would allow people to PF actual hunt groups that would need to locate and kill the mob (and do mechanics!). 400 seals per day for clearing every A rank. This would take away the need to be greedy and try to cap seals multiple times per day. With old world hunts, S ranks, daily mobs, and weekly B rank, that's plenty of ways to get seals... all which would require work and not just first come first serve.

    I agree completely, but we can't change the way people are, especially that one troll who loves to pull early for the reactions.

    It's the same thing as why we have need vs. greed rolling systems: if people could simply take whatever dropped if they got to it first, they would.

    All it takes is one shitty person to pull early and they can effectively ruin it for dozens of other players, even ones who are actively hunting for mobs.
