none of the cards actually require you to change your playstyle when used, except maybe Spear but you'd have to be coordinated enough with them to know which player has their CDs up anyways and if you're that coordinated you'd probably be on the lookout for Spear being cast on you.

Eh, too a extent. You can maximize if you know what cards on you. Stacking your cds with balance/arrow for example.

That's up to the individual though, chat spamming would be awful.
