Hey everyone I am finally getting around to level my second healer, AST.

I need macros for cards and at present I have a semi-decent solution and looking for assistance.

*Goal is to inform players when I use the cards. A lot of the time they don't realize when a card is actually used.
MACRO:
"Draw"
/macroicon "Draw"
/hotbar change 10
/action "Draw"



MACRO OF CARD APPLICATION:
/macroicon "The Balance"
/say 10% DAMAGE INCREASE ON <t> ! VIVE LE IMBALANCEDW!
/action "Draw"
/hotbar change 1
<se.6>


Odd thing is I can't get the sound effect to work....

But I suppose something I am curious about is there any way of overloading the method so that it handles all of the different cards in a unique way?

The sound effect should be used in the command /say like:

/say <se.8> Used it

But, dou you really want to do it? Won't it be too spammable? People will get annoyed with a lot of party messages during battle, it's distractive...

none of the cards actually require you to change your playstyle when used, except maybe Spear but you'd have to be coordinated enough with them to know which player has their CDs up anyways and if you're that coordinated you'd probably be on the lookout for Spear being cast on you.

I think I'd want to murder the AST in my party if they tied all of their card actions to announcement macros. Almost as bad as the SCH I met who had a "HEAL MODE/DPS MODE" macro tied to their use of Cleric Stance.

With how often I draw cards, I would be annoyed using that macro. To be honest I have had some people know they have cards on em and even commented. Had a blackmage go crazy cus his cast time was...forgive me if this is wrong on speed but I think he said it was 1.74 with enhanced arrow + Ley lines. However Arrow, Spire, Ewer they may not know the card is activated but they will know they have extra TP/MP/ or are attacking faster.

Eh, too a extent. You can maximize if you know what cards on you. Stacking your cds with balance/arrow for example.

That's up to the individual though, chat spamming would be awful.
