I'm not really a huge fan of mounts, but if they did do them. I think something where you can customize the armor on the mount and maybe have your LS crest on it somewhere would look cool. It'd kinda be a cool replacement for mog house customization, imo.

If you really want to capture the OCD spirit of everyone and get them addicted, just give the beastmaster and additional ability to catch and train monsters just like Pokemon. Then, let them battle other players, or other beastmasters' pets in the Uldah coliseum like in Dragon Quest 8.

You know what this game needs? Motorcycles.

If we get group crafting, this can be something for companies to to together: Build their members motorcycles. Think of the timesink, I mean, think of how well people would bond farming for hours getting the mats together to create such eyesores, I mean, marvels of modern technology. Then we can have alchemists synth fuel for them; of course it will have to be a level 45+ recipe. Gotta be fair.

Motorcycle riding will only be available for a certain amount of time. Eorzea's EPA regulates it heavily due to carbon emissions.

Chocobos, Beastmaster and Shepherd for me.

There are already armored Chocobos that the Ishgardians ride. In several of the R30 class quest cutscenes in Owl's Nest they show them for the first time. Use those for players to equip their birds with along with more choices along the way. Also bring back the different colored Chocobos and have racing and breeding.

They're the only mounts that will make me a happy camper.

Different color chocobos, yes please. Chocobo armor sounds cool too

My opinion is very much biased to the chocobo only mounts, this is final fantasy after all and chocos are made of several variations of win. Chocobo customization would be amazing, would very much like to see this.

This is final fantasy, since when have they ever, in any game, mounted anything but chocobos

i hate to say it, but if you really want to have a huge variety of mounts, this is the wrong game

I guess you could count VI's Magitek.
Either way, I'd still prefer Chocobos over anything else. Though if they ever added flying mounts in to the game somewhere down the line, they have Black Chocobos to fall back on and/or of course, the Wind Drake.
