Notice its about mounts, not vehicles. You ride chocobo's. One game had a dragon. But almost every final fantasy has been chocobo's, airships, and the occasional boat/submarine.

In all seriousness.
If they did release mounts they would have to drastically limit the teleport system. They would have to revert to the FF11 travel methods to gives mounts and airships a Grand Purpose.
I feel the only reason why they have not implemented any of them is because they feel that they would be useless and have wasted their time when players can literally just teleport anywhere they wish.
To implement the Gold Bird/Ostrich they would have to only allow players to teleport either
A. Cities only, and limiting the amount of anima given /regenerated/ possibly adding a large cool down to allow the use of a Chocobo. Chocobo's would then have a purpose into getting you to leve camps and across the many HUGE zones running at 2.5-3x movement speed?
- Possibily adding Chocobo mini games like many others have mentioned (FF9) and the FF11 breeding and racing system.
B. Allow teleport only to specific leve camps and or Out Posts like FF11. FF14 currently has outposts (1 for each zone) that have NPCs just sitting there and none to talk to. Also with teleporting limitations.
To implement both Air Ships and Chocobo you would have to remove the ability to teleport to cities as well as leve camps or completely remove the teleport system and convert to the FF11 methods of travel which was flawless but possibly increase the speeds at which you travel.
- Airships only take 5 min instead of 10
- Allow battles and or behest type events to take place such as pirates to give you something to do while you wait or just remain in the cabin and craft.
- Add effects such as Fog and add some eerie ghost ships that pass by
-Once again increase the speed of chocobos and or allow players to call the chocobos whenever they please or just add the chocobo whistle back with a reasonable cool down so that way traveling on foot isn't extinct...

But the Chocobos and Air ships are apart of Final Fantasy. The chocobos in 11 you had to spend gil everytime you wanted one unless you owned your own. But thay were all on timmers. So you couldent just ride all over the place at free will . Thay could do the Chocobos like in FF13 if there is an agroing Mob it could spook your Chocobo and toss you off.
As for airships there allready in the game look up in the sky from time to time you see them flying around. Also Grindia has a Airship Dock its just not in service...Yet.
The Teleport system with anima is just fine IF thay add other transportation. Say you used 30 anima traveling from place to place. Then decide well i dont wanna waste anymore anima so im going to use the chocobo to get to this place. Or say i dont wanna waste anima and take the airship to the next city.
When it comes to beastmasters in 11 all you could do was charm or call out 1 pet at a time.
With summoners all you could do is call out 1 avatar and one time and wile thay were out it was draining your MP.
Look up some youtube videos about beastmasters and summoners from FF11 to get a good idea how thay worked in 11.
I for one want JUST chocobos , the Airships , And wouldent mind seeing beastmaster and summoners again. ( id rather like to see blue mage again)

Agreed with the underlined part, yes it would be fun if that content was added on this game, actually I'm looking forward to ride a chocoboBut the Chocobos and Air ships are apart of Final Fantasy. I agreed with DarkRain's part that you underlined too. And another reason the mount is important for me is, anima is too less for people like me who play a slightly longer time, i want to explore more areas and have more fun with my friends, the limited anima really prohibited me from enjoying this game. (Sometimes i just stop playing the game for a few days due to my anima was getting low, same thing happened to my friends in-game.)

Dude.... the problem is this. But the Chocobos and Air ships are apart of Final Fantasy. The chocobos in 11 you had to spend gil everytime you wanted one unless you owned your own. The ONLY content in the ENTIRE game is leves atm. 8 levels per 36 hours. I use about 30/100 anima to instantaneously teleport to all 3 camps and all 3 cities. Now I'm done and dont feel like playing the game anymore let alont log in for another 2-3 days because doing those 8 boring leves and undergoing the horribe battle system with server lag and unresponsive gameplay just tires me out.
When I decide to log back in I have full anima again.
Rinse and repeat.
I need a purpose to ride my chocobo and an airship.

So you havent taken the time to explore other areas? or grind exp? Find a sp party? i Do all the time theres other ways of gaining SP/EXP then levels only.Dude.... the problem is this.

been there done that. like I said above I would rather not repeat that in a grind party that offers shit sp compared to a leve. I rather not waste my time personally.

I had DarkRain's problem at first until I joined a linkshell and my leveling increased drastically, soloing is hard, and I'm sure the guy plays alone.
