Did it feel kind of strange? To slowly replace the set of gear that you've had for so long(for most of us at least)?
My i130 ironworks boots was the last to go, at lvl55.

It felt downright bizarre to replace Dreadwyrm and Ironworks with HQ whites from the MSQ.
At least you have Dreadwyrm gear.
I never managed to be allowed into a T6 group, let alone Final Coil ._.
You're only replacing its stats thanks to the Glamour system ... You never have to take it off, and its a glamour I'll never get myself.
The effort to acquire these kinds of things doesn't make the result any less worth owning just because its stats were replaced down the line.
Try replacing your Zeta and tell me how that felt.
Didn't feel strange at all. But then this isn't my first MMO.
Yep, got replaced with a green dungeon drop. I stared at the item comparison in mild disbelief for a few moments, recalled that they'd said that our old gear would be viable till about level 55, then shrugged and equipped the new weapon.
I've been gaming online since 1995. It still felt weird to replace raid gear with normal craftable gear.
I have been. That doesn't stop it from feeling weird every time, though. xD
You get used to swapping raid gear for stronger raid gear and suddenly that crap from the vendor in town is like gold compared to the gear you fought hard and farmed for. Never fails to make me chuckle a bit when I think about it.

Pretty much this. This isn't my first rodeo so I had no hesitations.
I had BiS Dreadwyrm and Ironworks for my SCH too. Had BiS for quite some time so honestly it kinda felt good to take it off and say goodbye.
Recently returned player.
Also, I went from 130 to 133 and I was getting like... +1 armor. Suddenly, ilvl 139 happened and it jumped to almost +40 bonus def, lmao.
