Trouble upgrading from ps3 to ps4 - NO PS3....please assist.

I got a ps4 today. I currently have a pc and a ps3 licenses. I dont have a ps3 console. I go on ps4 to register but it says "This Square Enix account is already linked to a sony entertainment id - Please sign in with a different square Fenix account or create a new one before trying again".

So how can I upgrade to ps4 without a ps3? I am very sad about this now i can't play. I was playing previously on my mac with a bootcamp partition. But i dont like that I got a ps4 to upgrade and it does not let me upgrade. Refer to error above. Is a ps3 the only way to upgrade to ps4? If not how can i make this work???? Please help me, ty.

I forgot to add that I tried to upgrade from mog site but it says i have to do it from ps4. But then I have seen articles and other people that say you have to have a ps3 to upgrade to ps4. Please help me figure this out, people. 4th of july weekend new ps4 and no game because the people that make the upgrade process for this game made it VERY VERY difficult....Help please.
