I'll be the first to admit I hated this change when I first noticed it. This was largely due to the frustration of being mere minutes out from being able to harvest them. That being said, I'm much happier with the change knowing it's twice per day.
It has two advantages this way now. First, it means I can be more flexible. Rather then feel I absolutely HAVE to get a point when it shows up, I can wait for the next one knowing it won't be too long. Secondly, if I really need ingredients I can get twice the harvest in the same amount of time. This is especially important for certain ingredients needed for HW recipes which are needed in fairly large quantities.
I can understand why it would frustrate people, but on the whole this is one change I'm actually quite happy with.
Same could have been said when 2.0 was released. People complained and now we have this crap. So the only thing left to me is to complain and hope they make DoH and DoL's fun again instead of designing the new content around driving people away from it to keep MB prices up.
Or you know, these mats could just come from normal nodes. You're basically saying "it's great that this isn't as bad as it could be".
It's ridiculous to wall-off common mats needed for 50-60 gear behind unspoiled or hidden nodes. Again, the effort to gear and level up DoH and DoL in Heavensward when compared to DoW and DoM is grossly unbalanced.
