Synastry is a bit op.

I understand that astrologians are a few % under the white mage in healing but being able to solo heal both tanks in extreme fights is a bit absurd in the power curve. Se dropped the ball letting this ability pass the QA check balancing spells out for new jobs.

Then lets factor in the significantly more potent direct heals that Astrologian gets for raw healing that scholar's fairy + the scholar can barely scratch. Then WHM absolutely craps bricks on the Scholar's actual healing healing.

Cure 2 = 650 potency and aldoquium with emergency tactics (30s cd) heals for 600 and costs a cluster of mana. Benefic 2 that is spammable is 620 potency.

Furthermore AST has a ton of HoT power that can easily make up for the lack of fairy.

Err no. Benefic 2 is NOT spam-able. You'll constantly running into mana problem on longer fights (been there, done that). Benefic 2 is supposed to be emergency catch-up heal. The same thing goes with HoT skills. I found myself relying a lot on MP potions, even though I always use Spear card on myself before casting MP regen, using only Benefic I & rarely doing any DPS on boss fights.

Seriously dude? Your pet heals 40 times in Synastry's cool down duration. Our benefic 1 is only 80 more potency than embrace. Meanwhile, you're also healing, using emergency tactics every thirty seconds and your pet sac healing buff? Don't even try seriously, lol. Every healer out there knows SCH is in its own league in terms of the healers.

Sorry you don't know what you're talking about. I have played nothing but Astro since the 19th, and I can assure you what you are saying is false in regards to the Astro. By the way I main a SCH. Frankly unless you played the job you wouldn't know the many short comings it has.

If you arnt pairing time dilation and the other +5 sec buff you're doing it wrong. So correction:

Duraction: 40 seconds
Recast time: 120 seconds

It is a very strong skill, paired with a 35 + 50 second regens on the MT its just a cakewalk. So many scrubs here that cant see the job for what it is.

Time Dilation and Celestial Opposition are on CDs (1:30 and 2:30 respectively). You aren't always going to be using them when Synastry is up and vice versa and holding on to all 3 CDs just for one potential (using this term loosely) moment is a waste. Also Time Dilation doesn't do anything to extend Synastry as the buff will fall of you before the target and it wont matter.

The recast seems incredibly low for how strong the ability is. A 50% boost to heals is way above what any other healer has for its short cooldown.
