I'm trying to understand the issue you're having so I can assist. You mentioned you bought the "digital version" of Heavensward from GameStop? I don't believe that GameStop sells the digital version of the game as that is currently only available directly on the PlayStation Network.
The instructions you linked to were for users that purchased directly from PlayStation Network. Those users will not receive a code to enter on PSN because it's already tied on the back end.
Users who buy the physical version from GameStop will have a code inside the sealed game case (12-digits) that they will need to redeem on PSN. Here are instructions for doing that: http://sqex.to/Bdc. After the code has been redeemed, the next time you launch FFXIV, you will receive the prompt to tie it your service account.
Hopefully this clarifies things a bit, but if not, please let me know more details!

NO CODE HAVE EARLY ACCESS CODE ONLY, DIGITAL DOWNLOAD IS SUPPOSED TO BE REGISTERD TO ACCOUNT AUTOMATICALLY BUT I CANT GET LOGGED IN . COME ON SQUARE ENIX SORT IT OUT
I've already got emails from square enix concerning the matter and for me it is indeed Gamestop that is at fault. I'm going to them tomorrow to get my problem resolved.

Visit the “Settings” menu of the PS4, then select “PlayStation™Network/Account Management,” then “Account Information.” Scroll down and select “Services List,” and find “FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.” Selecting it will show Heavensward playing rights.

It says open beta 2 entitlement and heavensward early access, nothing else
Looking into the possibility that it might be Gamestop's problem on this since they do allow you to purchase the Heavensward PS3/4 digital download for you to get off of PSN once you insert the code from them into PSN. At first I only believed it to be possible for the software from Square to be at fault for not showing the prompt to verify your HW registration after the pre-order early access, but code is fragile and possibly purchasing it through Gamestop has effected how PSN recognizes my purchase differently than one purchased straight from PSN itself.
Whatever the case, since access to helpful service has been hard to get a hold of with this very specific problem I am on day 3 with no access to my main character.
