The /wait is there to ensure that you can hammer the button without also spamming chat. You can replace the /p with whatever you'd like, as you say.

Pretty much something like that is what I have and so far even without the macro it looks that healers are very aware about the skill, the couple of times that I used it and was activated got a heal withing the next 5 or 6 seconds, of course is not that much but I would like to at least let them know if I used it, Im also a healer and I appreciate when tanks have macros with messages.

Convalescence IMO is incredibly important to use with this skill
