anyone else hoping AF2 is upgradable? just so they wont be outdated

the af2 are the "iconic" gear for each jobs
would be a shame if theyre outgeared by alexander EX or whatever soon after

i know this sounds liek the exact reason we have glamour system, but wouldnt it be cool to have all purple left side weapons and gear?

That's what glamours are for...

You get to apply whatever stats you have available to you, to any piece of equipment you can wear.

How is this any different? Instead of upgrading the armor, you just glamour it over the newest set. The only difference is the hue of the icon...

Would be a shame if AF wasn't outgeared by Coil... oh wait. Old gear being outgeared by new is par for course. It's why we had AF+1, because AF was outgeared before everyone took their swing at Coil. AF2 will be outgeared, but will probably have a +1 variant at some point like the old AF. And then updates later there will be 'upgrade' items to let you dye the old AF2. XD

AF was never purple, it was blue. Purple is reserved for the Relic weapon.

Also, what's the difference between grinding for upgrade items and grinding for new gear? Why not grind for new gear so we get even more glamour options?
