Predictions or Wants for the next Job Class in 3.XX?

Beast Master/Tamer/Game Hunter - An actual pet class. This class would wield a whip and have support style abilities for its pet and debuffs for the enemy. Various tamed pets would function similar to the companion system allowing it to follow a trait path of either tank, dps, or healer.


Time Mage - Throw some Hastaga on us please. Also able to wield gravity type abilties.


Mime/Mimic - Unique class that gains abilities from other classes, monsters, and even some boss/trial battles.

I can see the Samurai making an appearance as a new tank class, what with the sudden surge of Au'Ra appearing in-game and them bringing their craft with them (for those of you at 60, you know exactly what I'm talking about).
Of course even this is wishful thinking, but not completely out of place.


And I'm confident that we will face the Garlean empire on future updates of the expansion, so I can also totally see a new class inspired upon the gun-blade their legatus wield as a dps class.


But that's really just speculation mixed with wishful thinking.

Samurai as a tank with a Counter type fighting style in the vein of Bravely Default.

Red Mage or Spell Fencer (from Bravely default) as a melee dps using magic and a rapier with no offhand.

Beast master as a support dps that melees with a pet and casts various animal themed buffs.

Chemist as a healer that uses items. Not consumable potions mind you, think of it's throw item move from FFT.

Just to say, for anyone who did the story mode to lv 59 when activating the last teleporter, did this certain "story encounter" make him seem like a Samurai? The way of his stance and swung his sword or maybe it was just me? As for me, I want Dancer still

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but they have said that after Ninja they won't be adding another job mid season. We won't be getting another job until the next xpac.

That said... I'd like to see RDM and SAM as much as the next person, but considering its confirmed that BLU (favorite FF job) will not be in this game, I rather them make an original job that uses the gunblade.

I'd love to se RDM ASAP, but the only reason Ninja came when it did was because it was planned for 2.0 release, but wasn't quite ready (or atleast that is what I have seen said here on the forums). They may surprise us, but probably better to make 4.0 theories...plus it'll probably be 3-4 jobs then (3 to match heavensward, 4 to match overall when Ninja is added into it plus keeping the light part configuration working)

I'd rather they give us an expansion focused on the Garlean empire with the armor and weapons being all in the empire style from the gunblades to the armor worn by Gaius, Livia, Nero, etc.
