That is a recurve longbow, and those are extra arrows. Look real close. You will clearly see arrowheads and fletchings.

Nuuuuuuu! I believe it's just a a cool Jap. design for a bow flinging ppl into delusion (for some reason) that it's a harp (floating in mid air) somehow merged with a composite archery weapon. LOL!

It is a Bow-Harp for the Bard Job, been confirmed by Yoshi-P himself in the Live Letter from the Producer.
He even shows Concept art for both the Bard Harp (bow-harp) and the Bard AF armor in the video. Should watch it.
