The situation with bots in my server.

It's completely out of hand. 90% of the people in North Thanalan are bots.

They are really easy to spot.

Here is a few clues of how.
But the easiest is when the fate of Dark devices is up, every time a phase ends the bots run away because they don't know another fate is about to start in the same spot so you see a train of people leaving and then coming back a few second later.

Another one is in the fates that you need to hand in items you will see the bots stuck in the fate killing enemies till it reaches 100% and then they leave it without handing in any of the items.

In the fate of the big Eye he spawns on top of some corrupted crystal and if people tank it there then the bots don't know how to react and stay still waiting there doing nothing.

In the Ceruleum road they go to the start of the fate even if the fate has already moved and after reaching the original spot they try to catch up to the NPC. Then they always follow it and sometimes there is so many of them that they don't see the enemies and you keep following the NPC and are stuck till legit players kill the enemies on the road.

This video doesn't show names but the people there have been reported many times and never get banned. Some even do it the whole day but they are specially active during the night. If only 1 GM would log in and check this zone he would see it himself. Pretty much at any time of the day.

Well that's pretty apparent to me. I haven't visited this zone yet. The herd running had me laughing to be honest.

You'd think with the change in aether currents recently the herd would have migrated farther south. Curious indeed.

You see people at like lv58 here so the fates in the HW zones are dead.

Same thing here in Tonberry, it's funny to see them all get stuck in the FATE with the giant ahriman boss since the boss is inside the crystal structure and they can't jump up.
I wouldn't say I encourage botting but they do "help" with the FATE refresh rate at ungodly hours like 3am.

It's what happens when a company is to cheap to invest in minimal detection software and you can buy a bot program for 10 bucks. Most of the cheaters moved from wow and already several thousand botters have shown up.

That is genuinely horrifying to see. I'm glad I'm not on Ragnarok as that would be enough to make me quit altogether. Before anyone says it, why the hell should *I* have to pay to get away from cheaters? Luckily, I'm on Leviathan and have yet to encounter something so blatant as that.

It does make me wonder if that those who do it have gotten away with it for so long, it being a legacy server, that they (rightly?) assume anything goes with no consequences.

Please Square Enix, give me a ban hammer and I'll specifically use my time and account to take these down, no charge. It ruins the game for everyone.

Yes I've been playing since start of FFXIV 1.0 but the current situation let me think about to quit the game. it was everytime a problem but now its taking over.
