Using time dialation on a tank after both regens and bole is so sexy, also the aoe flashy move (forgot name) adds another 5 seconds. Saying a 39/50 second pair of regens on the tank doesn't matter is just ignorant. Stop being bias with whm/sch and realize astro's potential.

Celestial Opposition is the stun that adds 5 seconds

It doesn't matter, because you can recast the hots(One of which you need to recast anyway so the rest of the party has it). Now if the tank has bole that's fine, because extending bole on a hard fight is a good use of time dilation. Extending the tanks hots on top of that is just gravy. But you should always be dilating cards, JUST using it to extend hots is a tremendous waste.

You're right and when Bole is up I TD it, but when I don't get Bole, I TD my HoTs. Also if you're casting apsected Helios properly its a moot point. ie: you should't be casting it unless you expect aoe dmg and toss a Aspected Bene on each person as well in prep for aoe dmg. Otherwise you are over healing, and there in lies the mana issue most people are faced with. TD is on a 90 second timer which is nothing because even most trash fights are that or a little less. I'd rather TD my HoTs as well as it actually does conserve mana...means I am not casting Hots on the tank as often. Also at level 60 with full ilvl 170 and 180 weapon my HoTs tick for an insane amount. Pair that with CU at the right time, and nobody is going to die. For the record I have had cu crit for 1400.

90% of the time I'd say Im using dialation on balance or arrow on my highest parsing dps. But if i know I'll be dodging alot of mechanics soon or just not able to fully focus the tank, I'll dialate the Hots on my MT. Saying it doesn't matter cause you can recast them is kind of silly (takes time on the GCD not allowing you to cure). Could say astro's lower potency doesn't matter cause you can cast twice... but no one will. It basically doubles the potency of your regens, costing no mp. But overall its obviously best to assess the situation and use dialation where its going to do the most good, which often isnt the regens.

Malefic I & II have different MP costs. Use I if you're concerned about MP otherwise use II, I believe that's the intended purpose for having both.

Like I said, the shield is so bad. The hots from Diurnal are way better. Yeah you saved them... you could have save them aswell in diurnal.

I healed and kileld both bismarck ex and ravana ex with a whm while in diurnal stance. The stackings hots are way too good to pass. If there is a fight where you really need shields.. just take a scholar. Ast is never ever gonna be taken for its nocturnal sect. It's just that bad.

Not only does it not stack with SCH's shields, the shiels cannot crit...

    Diurnal >>>>>>>>>>> Nocturnal.

The 5% increase potency is great and dandy, but it does not make up for the hots or the increased cast speed.

    I honestly have to agree.
Why don't you use Nocturnal Sect when you're with a SCH? Because shields don't stack.
Why don't you use Dirunal Sect when you're with a WHM? Because that seems intuitive, but it's also kind of wrong.
