Dealing a quarter of the enemy's HP is ludicrous. So, do you want a damage spell, or a spell that becomes useless against everything?
Holy stuns. SCH can bane/miasma2/shadowflare (shadowflare reduces attack speed = damage and utility in one spell) meanwhile gravity costs 100000000000000 mana and only deals the same amount of damage as holy.
ok
Malefec is Stone 2, Malefec 2 is Stone 3, a flat upgrade. OR: Malefec is Ruin, Malefec 2 is Broil.

1 is more efficient, but not generally to the point you wouldn't use 2. There's a few times I've used it, since it's on my bar anyway for easy swapping if I get level synched out of II. Generally if I'm solo and I went to gravity happy. But you'd probably never need to worry about it in a group since if you start to run low on mp and your luminous aethermajig isn't up you just hold off on attacking altogether.
yeah btw broil and ruin are both useful because broil costs 3 times as much mana for 2 times as much dmg, so sometimes you dont actually want to use it.
What's the big deal in increasing hots by 15 sec ? You use a fucking long CD just for that. There's nothing strong about that.
And no. Nocturnal sect is garbage. Most of our spells in nocturnal are even worse than they are in diurnal. If you want to mitigate damage you take a SCH. SCH is like >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> stronger than Nocturnal.
Always use Diurnal.

You don't know what you are talking about. No nocturnal is not garbage you in no way shape or form have any proof that its garbage. Used it many times in certain situations and works fine. You clearly know nothing about Astro, so your feedback is worthless at best. Also whats the big deal in increasing our HoTs...oh I don't know, those HoTs are part of our bread and butter....coupled with good cards its very easy to heal through ANY current content this game has. I am specifically challenging you to prove me wrong. Don't speak in here unless you know what you're talking about. Clearly you don't know. Do you even have an Astor to 60 yet? If not disregard this post...your just fodder.
Edit: Bole > Nocturnal Collective Unconscious. Not to mention if you extend the duration. So yeah clearly you don't understand Nocturnal healing at all. Both stances are situation based.

XD someone needs to get some air from the looks of it.
So I repeat : nocturnal is garbage. Diurnal is better in every shape or form.
Secondly : increasing the duration of the hots is not that big of a deal because : the aspected helios hot you'll want to refresh on your party member so extending it on the tank means nothing. Also, increasing the aspected benefit hot is not a big of a deal since aspected has no cd so you can still reapply it manually. And no, the mana saved is not what's gonna make a difference. THE ONLY TIME where extending the duration of the hots is really great is when you extend the hots you used with a healing increase since it snapshots. But it's situational.
So like I said, not a big deal. Where did I ever said that bole was weaker than Collective Unconscious ?
Yup, someone already corrected me. My bad.
+1It doesn't matter, because you can recast the hots(One of which you need to recast anyway so the rest of the party has it). Now if the tank has bole that's fine, because extending bole on a hard fight is a good use of time dilation. Extending the tanks hots on top of that is just gravy. But you should always be dilating cards, JUST using it to extend hots is a tremendous waste.

Are you KIDDING me????? Instant cast shields from Aspected Benefic in Nocturnal are LIFE SAVERS. I can't tell you how many times I've saved someone from not making it out of an AoE, a tank hanging by a thread, or even myself. Yes, Diurnal is great and all, but Nocturnal most definitely has its uses. Plus, Nocturnal adds a 5% healing boost which actually is noticeable. I'm also going to add that um... not every fight has a Scholar.
