They said that for Alexander normal you don't need healers' dps. It will be required for Alexander hard tho.
So expect some accuracy on Alexander NM/Esoteric gear.

Aero and Miasma can't be applied to bosses if you don't have accuracy because they have a first-hit potency.I too am worried about accuracy and how it'll affect healers. I thought I remembered reading that SE WANTED healers to DPS when they had the chance (which beats standing there doing nothing).
Also, SCH can get 4 DoTs because they can also get Aero from CNJ. Their DPS is pretty amazing just with swapping into CS, dotting up then switching back to heal.
Peach Parfait/Khulan Angura on Gilgamesh
This would be very difficult to parse because you need a base line level without buffs then another with buffs to even begin to decide how much of a boost cards are bringing to the table. As far as base line dps spells we are in line with WHM give or take a spell or two. Malefic II is almost equal to Stone II, Combust II is a little better than Aero III, and Gravity is on par with Holy.
I do remember about a year ago Yoshi-P said he felt healers role should be healing and not worrying about dps numbers. In another interview he basically says though he doesn't design content that require healers to dps but doesn't want to nerf dpsing out of the healers game style either: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ount-for-raidsI too am worried about accuracy and how it'll affect healers. I'm gonna use super baseline and generic math here:
Let's say you have Balance on a monk doing a base of 1000 dps for the fight. Let's say you have that 10% Balance Buff up for 30% of the fight's duration. 10% of 1000 is 100 and 30% of 100 is 30.
You've added 30 DPS to that monk's 1k DPS for the entire fight.
I know it's not the best but it gives an idea I guess.
Do you have a source on this? AFAIK they said fights are never designed around healer DPS, but that elite groups use healer DPS to make up for gear shortcomings (i.e., world/server first progression). Or just DPS shortcomings in general.
