Can we bring our ERP'er catgirls?
Can we bring our ERP'er catgirls?
I'd love to. However, it won't work. All that will happen is that I'll be told to go to Balmung, and I'll end up back at square one. This is a problem that no one soul can fix, and it will take effort on behalf of the RP community, or by Square Enix, as a whole to fix it.
Eidolon, was your post really necessary?
Not to be rude, but if you really wanna RP....You should either move to Balmung or attempt to make your own or just deal with the cards that's dealt.
I've heard Gilgamesh doesn't have THAT many rpers, but the rpers in Balmung are very much plentiful.
No ones going to spread out entirely....they already have honestly. And as you can see yourself, there's not much to be had.
It was established 2 years ago Balmung was the unofficial RP server. A little too late now. We've asked SE to make one officially...but
nothing, so the community themselves decided it on their own and here we are.
There's a few FCs on Famfrit that do, but some of them are causal RP meaning not IC all the time. I don't know if there are any full all in RP guilds. Some are on Hiatus leveling for the X-pac
Again, the Behemoth I know is nowhere near that toxic. With a new influx of players and a community certainly locked out of Balmung like yourself, it wouldn't be a bad idea to set up shop here. I don't actively RP myself, but I do my best to help promote that culture on my server. Because when it's all said and done and you've capped all there is to cap until the next expansion, what's left? You don't know unless you give it a whirl yourself. You might end up surprised.I'd love to. However, it won't work. All that will happen is that I'll be told to go to Balmung, and I'll end up back at square one. I'll certainly give it a shot. I suppose there's nothing that can be done otherwise and it's pointless to sit here and complain about it. That being said, we need to advertise - HARD - on the RP website and start encouraging a migration if at least partially. It's time to expand it, and expand it massively.Again, the Behemoth I know is nowhere near that toxic. There's actually an RP community that's taken root in Siren the past couple months. Multiple RP-focused FCs (shameless self-shill!), a general RP LS with over a hundred members, and multiple other specific-RP styled linkshells. Open-world RP is also starting to take hold, especially in the Heavensward areas. So you could pop on over to Siren and get a feel for us, and feel free to toss me a message if I'm on.![]()
This is probably what I'm going to have to go with. Unfortunately, Behemoth is locked up tighter than a miser's coinpurse. In fact, most of that datacenter is. I'm making the character now - well, characters.I've hit my post limit for the day, but I'll be bumping this thread in the future. I'm getting inspired to - even if I'm not successful - force a change through effort and get this idea that roleplay only exists on Balmung thoroughly rejected. As things stand now, the roleplaying community cannot continue to grow if it's on a server that accepts nobody new.
To be honest, I've been on Gilgamesh for ... approximately six weeks now. Haven't seen much RPing going on, if any, sadly. :/ I do agree that breaking up a little and spreading out would be nice - especially for Balmung. They obviously have more than a few problems with being overpopulated, from what I see around here.
This is actually exactly what our thought was when we decided to push for change rather than spend the money on transfers or spam Balmung hoping to get in. There's no reason there should only be one server dedicated for RP, especially with character creation restrictions as strict as they are on Balmung. And it turns out the Siren community is plenty open to RPers, even ones who don't RP themselves; there's been trolls here and there, but it's actually usually non-RPers not taking part that tell them to back off. So if you're going to join us, feel free to toss an application into Neo-NOAH (my FC; shameless self-shill again!), and I can help you get connected.I'm getting inspired to - even if I'm not successful - force a change through effort and get this idea that roleplay only exists on Balmung thoroughly rejected.
