You have absoulutley no clue how bad leveling is. All of us legacy players stuck it out and ground out most of our clases and jobs to 50. Leveling these days is pretty much handed to you on a silver platter. Quit complaining and do the grindI'm not sure what's going on, but leveling got extremely horrible. I'm almost level 54 and I'm already bored with leveling.
This is killing me, and there is no excuse of "it's a tutorial", I already leveled up 50 times, I believe it's enough for tutorials.
This is just bad design, either make leveling faster or make it fun. FATE Are SOMEWHAT interesting, but I'm "back" in leveling compared to people so all zones are empty, can't really FATE by myself (and even doing so, reward is none). I leveled a bit in dungeon but after 4 times it gets extremely repetitive too (I have one dungeon available, I still need to get the new one)

Mh ok thanks for the suggestion.Throughout the expansion content, I had troubles on Level 54, Level 58, and Level 59 specifically. At these points my main story quest was gated and I could not progress until I leveled up.
58 wasn't so bad doing sidequests in the Hinterlands, although it has that dumb "Notched Bone" storyline that nobody likes. With all that investigation, you'd think Hildibrand would make an appearance. That would have been a good opportunity for it.
59 wasn't so bad in Azyss Lla either, although the map is kind of big and running around was a big time sink, it didn't feel like a horrible grind, and it was interesting to see some certain "friends" show up there.
54 is probably the biggest problem with the expansion content. You're basically forced to participate in Moogle Hell. The map is big, the quests are long, and the quest chains are never-ending.
If you're comfortable with your gear I actually recommend you run dungeons to level instead. The Level 53 dungeon has some useful gear for its level and beyond that some of them make for really nice glamours.
Just for reference, I started playing during early access, and I immediately switched to Machinist. Leveling from 30-55 took me that whole weekend of about 3 days. I literally just completed The Aery right before the servers went down for maintenance and regular access. It took me the rest of the week from Tuesday to Friday to reach 60 and complete the Main Story quest. All in all, it took me exactly 7 days playing about 6 hours per day to get it done. That comes out to about 42 hours give or take. I did not rush through most of the content, and I watched all of the cutscenes. You could get it done faster than a week and less than 40 hours if you continue an old job bringing it from 50-60.
My current idea is stick with all duty roulettes once per day (I have yet to unlock the high level one). Is the low level worth? I mean, does it yield exp like duty roulette "main scenario" ?
I played the legacy AND dropped it because of OBVIOUS problems with leveling (took me 15 minutes to find a FREE mob to kill on first day... wtf?), I was even in beta.
That being said, GRIND has always no excuse, they are badly designed parts, doesn't matter if legacy version (which is a completely different game considering it's even made by a different team and was DROPPED ENTIRELY, the entire code base!) had more grind.
