Dark Knight and Mages Ballad

My significant other and I ran haukke manor last night to start levelling some new jobs, him as a dark knight and myself as astrologian. We had a bard in the party, who for some unknown reason was playing mages ballad as we killed trash mobs. I noticed, that even though my significant other was standing pretty much on top of the bard, he wasn't receiving the refresh on mp (was not giving him mp, or showing up on his buff bar in party list or while targeted). So forums, I ask of you, has anyone else noticed this? Is this working as intended or did we run into some kind of bug? Thanks for the input!

The DK buff Darkside blocks regaining mana from outside sources.

"MP is slowly drained while increasing damage dealt by 15%. MP refreshing statuses have no effect. Effect ends upon reuse."

Darkside prevents MP regeneration outside of DRK abilities.
