Capped at 60 FPS with DX11

I currently use a LG 29UM67-P. This monitor has a refresh rate of 75 hz. With the DX9 client, I am able to play the game in fullscreen at 75 FPS.

With the DX11 client, the Frame Rate Limit is set to 75 fps (Refresh Rate 1/1) but my FPS goes to a max of 60. The same applies if I play in Borderless Windowed. If I select Windowed, my FPS will go back up to 75.

If I turn off the Frame Rate Limit in Full Screen, I will get 75 FPS but get a lot of tearing.

    Your monitor is a 60Hz. http://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-29U...de-led-monitor
Working as intended, I am not sure what shop you bought with wrong info.

It is 75 Hz. I have tested it with multiple games and have gotten 75 FPS except DX11 full screen.
Multiple reviewers as well as AMD's site will list it as 75 Hz.

I did some more tests and when I first start the game, it will be capped at 60 FPS. When I switch to Full Windowed it will go back to being capped at 75. Once I exit the game and restart the game, it will be capped at 60 again until I switch the screen mode again.

According to the LG specs, the native refresh is 60. The width is 2560, which can be a turning point in performance for some cards--anything higher and you may have strange results (depends on your hardware). With your GPU/Monitor setup it may be possible to override it to 75 with more "normal" output, but something more involved may need to be scaled back to 60 for quality purposes.

Are you running with V-synch disabled in Windows? This can sometimes lead to tearing as well. If so, try locking the v-synch and enabling triple buffering. If that doesn't resolve it, then try lowering the refresh in Windows to 60...may need to lock v-synch (or use adaptive) as well.

With it being a Freesync monitor, I should get no tearing within the VRR of 48-75. Unfortunately I still do. This is the only game where it is capping at 60 rather than 75. It worked fine with the DX9 client before. I have set my FPS to cap at 75 within Catalyst Control Center with the Frame Limit to none but I still get tearing. I noticed this happened with my older video card (290X) and is still a problem with my current (Fury X). I guess I might as well report it as a bug seeing it only happens with the DX11 client for this game.

Are you using Display port, tried different drivers (with clean uninstall first of course), etc.?

There is only one set of drivers available for the 300 series/Fury X. I am using a Display Port to use with FreeSync. I used DDU to uninstall the drivers before inserting my Fury card. I will wait for another hot fix and if that doesn't fix it, I will most likely try and re-install the whole game and see if something got messed up with my DX11 client. I think the problem might be the DX11 client.

Just another note, this is a known issue. FFXIV doesn't run well on AMD, you can find those thread and on reddit as well. Generally speaking having Fury X doesn't mean it will tear through everything when the driver doesn't really support FFXIV properly.

It had one problem with DX9 that caused crashes. Disable an option fixed this. The crashing issues I have read regarding DX11 applied to both Nvidia and AMD. The Fury X bumped my average FPS by 20. It can be better with newer drivers. I have had no performance issues with the DX11 client except this small FPS bug. If I turn off the FPS cap, I can get over 100 FPS but that will be with tearing.
