In addition to the Lore-ness of its flight ability, it is a $24 mount. It'd be nice to be able to continue using it.

While they make Sleipnir fly they should make a rainbow horse and make it fly and shoot rainbows!
I love the official forums, they tell you to use the search for thread about what you wanted to talk but when you use it they judge for necro a thread.
It should fly for being $24.
Didn't SE say something about Primal Mount being able to fly in 3.0 areas a few months ago?
I don't remember the details but I remember the FF14 devs mentioning this.
outside of lore, i payed like 15 euro for it and they make all the ponies fly, so IMO it would be stupid if sleipnir could not fly.
and for everyone that will inevitably comee here and mock us for buying a mount with money, keep in mind that we just bought it for fun and supoport the development of the game you like to play.
Bumping this up.

They did say that they will eventually make all of the primal mounts fly, starting with Kirin first. Sleipnir is a primal mount, so that should be included, just as it was included when they gave the primal BGM's to the mounts.
The Ahriman mount will fly as well. So will the kobold mount I think.
They just haven't gotten to doing it yet for whatever reason.

Odin's horse is the origin for Santa's flying reindeer. Just throwing that out there. Sleipnir is best known in mythology as the horse Odin literally flies around on.

If you bought it to support the game like the saint you are why do you care if it flies? Just consider the money spent a donation to SE and never use it again.
fly horsie fly!
