Are N. Thanalan fates really the best?

I want to level NIN (level 50) up to catch my monk (level 56) so I don't get too rusty with NIN. I'm already pretty rusty and feel like NIN is super clunky after playing monk so much lately and don't want to let that cement in.

So is there any way anyone can think of that's faster/equal experience than N. Than fates? Going from 45-50 already drove me crazy, doing that again in N. Thanalan for a much longer time is really discouraging to think about.

Does not seem like it. However, I don't do dungeons much..but from the mass zerg of people in N.than it seems that that is the easiest thing to do.

That's pretty sad. I wonder how this issue slipped through development, wonder why they thought it was okay to let HW zone fates give the same exp as N.Than fates and take much longer to finish, and why the new dungeons give the same experience award as older dungeons....

Its kinda sad that my fisher can get over 22k exp on one common fish and my PLD barely gets over 14k on one N. Than FATE. Think the EXP needs a little tweak.

It will be faster seeing as you don't have Armoury bonus the reward gained aftermath isn't influenced by the bonus where as Dungeon EXP is.

Armory bonus without rested EXP tends to yield about 330-340k EXP per run(Based on Aery at least) with average run times at 29 minutes. You'd need about 15-16 fates accordingly to match up. If the train is fast and completes fast, they'd be better overall(Not counting the two big fates Gorgimera and DD). If the train is slow, then it'd be worst off.

N than fates give the same amount (or fewer or higher depending on bonuses) as a lvl 49 guildleve. Since the leves are faster, they are by default better. That being said, the leves in HW take the same time and give more exp and therefore are better. By transitive prop. HW leves are better than FATES in NT. The only contingency is that since there aren't any GC leves (which makes no sense when you see the ending...) you don't get the advantage of doing the fast ones consecutively (i.e. defeat the summoner, defend the cargo, dispel the glamour) and so you may end up have to do a few slow ones (escort) before you can do fast ones again. This is of course dependent on your competency; if you aren't good at your class, then you can't do the leves in less than a couple minutes. For reference, the FATES give about 20K, while the leves give 20K with the first bonus (time bonus, which is 5 minutes). They scale linearly with level, so you can pick and choose, but unlike before now you have to change leves every 2 levels.

You do realize that you are comparing exp from the armoury bonus to exp without right? Get to 60, then compare again when you have the armoury bonus.

For dungeon according to my experience you will get 1 level for 3 hours of game ( 6 dungeons ) on average with only the armory bonus.

    I do realize it!

But that still doesn't change the fact that the experience scaling is awful, especially for fates. Lots of extra work, no extra reward. Even with the bonus, you're just as well off to do old dungeons as you are new ones for experience.
